WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

[he's busy whisking something up in a bowl albeit clumsily, so he's boding about as well as one would expect. but it looks edible? whatever it is.]

Blanca, hey! [hello friend!] I was practicing to see what I remember. Are you hungry? I could use a taste-tester.

[Oh boy, time to have food poisoning all of week zero. Blanca wanders over to peer at what Sora is doing.]

I could be. What are you making?

[reconnective]

[stop!! anyway blanca will see it's a lot of beef and veggies that make up beef bourguignon.]

It's this beef dish...beef...something that starts with a B. Bourguignon, I think? I haven't made it very much but it seemed like a good one to try out.

[papasha]

Ah. Beef Burgundy. It's very rich.

[He smiles a bit.]

Would you like some help? [Sora, your drinking age.] Should I get you the wine?

[reconnective]

[remy doesn't give a fuck about sora's drinking age apparently.]

Oh, sure! I'm not really sure where it is so that'd be great. Do you cook a lot back home?

[papasha]

Alright.

[He is off to hunt down some red wine. Hm, does the kitchen have red wine? If not, he has alcohol in his goodie bag apparently which I hate. It's fine, there's probably cooking red wine.

He'll get it for Sora.]

Not exactly. [He laughs.] Nothing a bachelor wouldn't make.

[reconnective]

[we're gonna say they have wine somewhere which is nice, thank you blanca. even if it's somewhat slow-going he seems to know what he's doing when it comes to making this dish.]

That probably still counts. [does it.] You lived by yourself then? What about for your friends or your family? [it's a generic sort of question, but he's curious about who blanca is.]

[papasha]

[He will open the wine for Sora because (looks at his noodly arms), and set it nearby.]

It's just little [he is not] old me.

[He smiles some, watching Sora work without getting in the way.]

What about you?

[reconnective]

[wow leave his arms alone, they're buff noodles at least. but there's a grin of appreciation while he grabs the bottle to add to the pan.]

Sounds a little lonely. [blanca's probably fine with it, but he's trying to imagine what it'd be like if he was really all alone.] Donald and Goofy used to be the ones to find food for us, but ever since Little Chef taught me to cook I've been making stuff for us.

[family what family.]

...Donald Duck and Goofy.

[It isn't a question, but he says it like he's talking to a kid who absolutely believes in hanging out with Donald and Goofy, and it's endearing. He just does not know what he's missing.]

Cooking takes a great deal of practice. Like learning to ride a bike.

[reconnective]

Yeah! [he's suddenly all smiles because he loves his dads very much even if they're also a pain sometimes.] We've been together for a while now. Donald introduced us to Uncle Scrooge, too, so when he said he wanted to open a bistro and Little Chef needed help with the orders I started learning.

[those sure are words you're saying.] But the bistro's doing really well now! Little Chef's recipes are amazing, so I want to make sure I remember them.

[papasha]

[UNCLE SCROOGE. I hate this so much all the time, it's just getting worse. But Blanca is nodding and not saying anything because he has accepted a) this place is probably a dream, b) he's dead, or c) Sora is... maybe going through some things.]

Is this what you meant when you said you help other worlds?

[Blanca, thinking: Sora is a normal teenage boy who maybe has some trauma, and is using imagination to work through it.]

[reconnective]

Sort of. That was more on the side whenever we would go back to Twilight Town. But when worlds need our help we do everything we can to keep them safe. [the food is almost done at least thank god. ] Usually it's because the Heartless are trying to destroy them but we take care of them.

[....that is a very condensed version of things but oh well. food time.] I think this is done.

[papasha]

[Sora. This is... something. He is still listening and nodding essentially.]

Heartless...?

[Oh. He straightens up, leans to peer at the pot.]

Shall I taste-test for you?

[reconnective]

Yeah. [is that "yeah" to heartless or yeah to taste-testing? yeah. still, with the meal done he's turning off the stove to grab a dish and plate up a good serving for blanca, turning to hand it to him with a fork in the middle.]

Let me know what you think! [he looks so hopeful. please tell him he did good. (if blanca actually eats it, it does in fact taste like it's supposed to. this sora scored all excellents on little chef's menu.)]

[papasha]

[He takes the plate from Sora, the fork, too.] Thank you. It smells very delicious. [He will set it down, though, so he doesn't drop it, or burn his fingers.

Carefully, but not reluctantly, he forks up some of the meal and blows on it once or twice. Then he has a taste of it, experimental. His face is uncertain as it goes in, but then both brows rise quickly.]

Ah. You may have out-done yourself, Mister Sora.

[reconnective]

Really? [yesssss, he is so excited to hear that.] Alright! That's great to hear. [please enjoy.] But, uh, you can just call me Sora.

[papasha]

Really.

[He has another bite to prove his point, and show he isn't telling a lie.]

Sora then.

[reconnective]

[he lights up immediately because he's living for it. thank you blanca.]

Thanks. [a fistpump!] That's another one mastered. We have a lot of time right now, so guess it's good for something.

[papasha]

[I had typed he returns the fistbump, and then realized it said fistpump. You would have been like "anna?"]

We will have to get you to cook us breakfast--or dinner depending on when you get up.

[He grins playfully at this, like he's trying to imply Sora may be the typical sleeping in teenager.]

[reconnective]

[he could have fistbumped, sora learned how to do that recently.]

I don't get up that late. [...mostly. look sometimes you take advantage of not having to save the world and sleep in a little.] I haven't really made a lot of breakfast foods, but I wouldn't mind trying them out.

[papasha]

[Sora being disgruntled about the semi-truth gets him to smile knowingly. There is someone else he knows who gets up way too late, but this person is usually very grumpy about it.]

I think everyone here wouldn't mind if they were simple. Or you could make us dinner one time, if that suits you better.

[reconnective]

[sometimes....you are still a teen.]

Dinner's probably easier. [and later.] Unless people are okay with eggs. That wouldn't be too hard.

[papasha]

You could make "breakfast for dinner," and everyone could have the best of both worlds.

[Sora's breakfast for dinner. (little chef voice) hm]

Only if they like it scrambled. [the fuck is an omelet.] Maybe I'll just leave breakfast to somebody else. It looks like there's a lot of people who know how to cook.
