WEEK ZERO: MINGLE
WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding! |

Waffles? [His eyebrows raise - he reaches for the package.] Well, what do you know? I happen to like them a lot. Lucky you.
[A beat.]
Hey, want to go eat them together?
no subject
Lucky indeed. Seems like a lot of people like them too.
[ which is good. i cannot over emphasise the amount she made while half asleep this morning. ]
... oh. Yes, alright then. I didn’t mean to interrupt you though.

[He moves to stand, bending down momentarily to pick up the wrapped waffles.]
Lets find a spot to sit. I don't particularly care where. You choose.
no subject
[ there's not a lot of point to traipsing across the town just to eat a waffle. ]
no subject
[He'll gesture for her to come along with him as he walks in that direction.]
Have you been doing nothing but waffle delivery this morning?
no subject
I made a lot of waffles. I can't eat all of them.

[ she goes from sounding a little dry, to a little frustrated and then just a little defeated in the space of. well. six sentences. ]
Maybe that's why I made so many waffles. I can't even get mad at the hosts, they seem as stuck as we are. So... stress baking it is.
no subject
Our illustrious masked benefactors clearly had so much to say, huh...
[A light huff.]
We all need something to take our mind off things. Baking is one such thing, and its generous to boot if you give it away. Its a win-win.
no subject
I’d be in a food coma if I ate them all myself. [ hmmm... ] I wonder if the hosts would accept them as well?
no subject
Hm. I don't see why not. They'd probably like it. Maybe you can bribe them for more info.
no subject
If it gets me home quicker, then sure. I’ll even flavour the next batch.
Any requests?
no subject
Tabasco sauce.
[...]
No, I'm kidding. Maple syrup is fine. Strawberries would be a nice touch.
no subject
[ she's not commenting on the tabasco, dangit. ]
no subject
[And here's the river! He's just going to plop himself down on the bridge itself - not near the barrier, though, he's not going to play around with that again.]
Sit, sit. There's enough space next to me if you want.
no subject
If we're here for more than a few weeks it'll probably happen again.
[ she does sit down though. ]

[He's going to start unwrapping these waffles, taking one in hand as he hands it over to Alex. No fork and knife, we eat like uncivilized college students.]
Here you go.
no subject
I'm glad me having a kitchen meltdown is something to look forward to. [ :| ]
no subject
[Taking a bite straight from the waffle. Mmm. Waffles.]
It's good. [He nods over at Alex.] Thanks for the late breakfast.
no subject
[ she tears off another piece, eating to distract from any sort of expression she may or may not be making. she takes her time with eating it, but when she's done she nods: ]
You're welcome.
Wait, you didn't eat anything before you starting doing--- how many push-ups?
no subject
I just didn't get around to it. And I don't know. I usually don't keep track of those things. Probably a couple hundred.
[hansa,]
no subject
A couple of hundred.
[ welp, she's not here to nag about terrible eating habits before a workout. ] Maybe have two of those then.
