WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

[Laine is poking around this week. Nothing obviously driven, just casually exploring. He's usually snacking on something sugary. Like, when he's walking around the perimeter of the barrier, just casually eating a bag of mini marshmallows like they're popcorn.]

[ Kano starts pretty badly when the hand claps down on his shoulder, jumping and trying to pass off the motion as just him turning around to face Laine. ]

Eh? What? What're we playing?

[He sees that twitch there, but he isn't going to say anything.]

Do you know this one? [He asks, pointing at the knockoff DDR machine.]

Ooh, yeah, that one, that one!

[ Has he ever played before? Nah. Will he? eh.

Kano moves over to one side of the machine and gestures for Laine to stand on the other side. ]

Okay, okay, let's do it~ I got these two arrows and you get the other two! We'll tag team to victory!

All right! Let's do it!

[This is certainly a way to play this game. Laine is absolutely up for going for this nonsense.]

[ It is the stupidest way to play this game, the two of them just stomping left and right and there is no dancing involved.

Kano's timing seems to be spot on, though. All perfects on this side! How's Laine doing over there? ]

[Ange is also wandering, or at least that's her plan. But not far away from where Laine is, he'll hear a quiet thump, and then an oof.

It's some kind of movement game, you have to step on the arrows at the correct time. I tried it out already, and it's fun, but it's set up as a competitive game.

[ she looks down at her heels and then at the dance machine. ah. this one. ]

There's a high chance I might fall and break something.

Well, I was playing that one. [He gestures at the knockoff DDR machine.]

[ oh. not!ddr.... is izumo any good at them? who knows, but it's less about technical skill and more about matching and stepping in time with a rhythm. ]

[There's so many colors and lights???? She doesn't recognize like any of these???? P*c-Man is kinda familiar, she thinks she's seen that in little corners on the way to the train station, but all the rest are so fancy and futuristic...

Laine interrupts her gawking at a good time, and with 0 sense of instant preservation she has no caution talking to an adult asking her this very normal question.]

A player what? [She tilts her head slightly.]

For what? What are you doing?

The arrows on the screen tell you which ones on the base you're supposed to step on. It says it's a dancing game, but it's more of a rhythm game.

It's a lot more fun than the other games here.
