Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week.

Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else.

That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange.

Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open!

Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

It seems we're quite lucky to at least have it to guide us. The wonders of the technology of this place truly never cease...!

[ the gift shop is perfectly fine upon inspection. xie lian's walking a bit behind chiron, hands folded behind his back, and as he stops, he looks to the side and notices something rustling in the bushes outside of the shop, and then, a little black blur moving. ]

Oh! [ oh oh oh! ] Over there, maybe? How lucky!

[ xie lian, who is never this lucky, should be more than aware of the fact that this is not this easy. considering there is a massive hornet's nest hovering just above that convenient bush, i'm sure it's fine.

does anyone hear buzzing? ]

[Xie Lian's bad luck strikes again.]

I was wondering where we'd find a lizard. Good catch.

[He will step in to dig through the bush, looking for the lizard.]

Keep an eye out, in case it tries to run away.

[It seems more interested in something above the bush, though, because it's totally leaping out of the bush to try and get it. But it keeps missing and falling back down into the bush.

He does not see the hornet's nest yet.]

[Given, uh, the height on him--

Chiron sees the nest.

And truly thought the others had seen it as well, which is why he's watching this unfolding spectacle like a movie that's pressed in fast forward.]

[Though sadly, before he can warn them of the potential disaster, the lizard gives one more brazen leap of faith...

And manages to crash straight into the hive. The buzzing increases in multiple as hornets start pouring out to see who stupidly picked a fight with them.]

[ xie lian makes a small, surprised noise as the lizard makes its impressive leap of faith, and his eyes make contact with the hive just in time for it to start rattling and buzzing.

oh no. ] Ah.

[ wow that sure is a lot of hornets, and three idiots who look like great targets. well, four, if you count this suicidal lizard. they have maybe ten seconds before they all get swarmed. ]

[On reflex, Shiro reaches up to try and catch the lizard. And he does.

But he also catches part of the hornet hive when it falls down too.

And wow, those hornets are angry.

Shiro is absolutely screaming as he tried to hold onto the lizard- which is trying to bite the hornets for some ungodly reason- while also trying to shake the pieces of hive and several hornets off of him.]

[WELL THEY SAY CONSEQUENCES ARE THE GREATEST TEACHER...

God.

First things first -- the bulk of the hornet net gets an arrow shot through it with enough force that it literally goes flying off somewhere away from the group. Not gonna do much about the hornets that are already picking out their targets, but Chiron hopes this will keep anyone from straight-up dying.

... Unless one of you is contagious, in which case. RIP.]

Grab the lizard and run, both of you.

[ what a wonderful shot! xie lian, immediately cooes over it, appreciate over such fine marksmanship in the way only a martial god can really be -

... wait! not nice!!! there's stuff happening here. xie lian snaps back into actual reality, and starts rushing forward immediately. a normal person would run from the hornets, but xie lian has to get closer to them, so he's already been stung like five times and is just ignoring it, swatting at one with his big sleeve and calling out - ]

Ruoye, get the lizard! [ there we go! ruoye's not nearly as long or as strong as it used to be, but it yeets out of his sleeve like normal anyway, unrolling and reaching for this tiny, fighty lizard to wrap around it so it hopefully doesn't go running. ] Shiro, hurry!!!

[ he holds out his other hand....!! ]

[There goes the lizard!

Which is probably for the best, because Shiro is currently dealing with hornets trying to sting him through his cassock. So he is running too, and he's brushing them off as he runs. He's definitely got a couple stings on his hands by the end of it.

There is also an angry cloud of hornets by the door to the gift shop. Welp.]

How're we supposed to get in there now?

Running through, while dangerous, will at least ensure the majority of the hornets cannot keep pace with you... assuming you keep running.

[He says in a neutral manner, casually swatting at any hornets that get too close to him, because he's just too old and too done with this mess to be intimidated by anything. Killjoy]

The other options are to lead them away with a target, or find a way to kill them.

[Also the lizard is uh, definitely gone, rest in peace you crazy diamond]

I've already gotten stung, so I might as well do it. Plus I don't think their stingers are long enough to get me through my clothes, so only part of me is at risk. You-

[He points at Xie Lian.]

-are wearing wispy clothes they can sting through easily, and you-

-are half-naked.

I also have considerably more body mass than either of you, so any venom in my system would be negligible.

[HE'S JUST SAYING.

... Also leave his horse-half alone. Do you know how much cloth it would take to cover that up? He's being practical in his nakedness.]

That said, I have not been inside that building and would have difficulty navigating it efficiently, so I'll decline to volunteer myself.

[ as he's saying this, he looks over to where the hornet's nest disaster had happened. there's something else in the bushes there... maybe its another one of their items? he points at it. ]

Is that one of the things we are supposed to be fetching? [ there are several hornets still hovering rather angrily over either the tokyo tower or the guide. hm. ]

I also know how to make medicines to counteract it.

[Maybe. If they have the right plants.

And anyway let's say the guide is there so they can find tokyo tower in the emporium. But yes. Guidebook in bush, so many hornets everywhere.]

It disappears. The hornets are mad. Chiron doesn't even bother swatting them, he's too busy sighing.]

I wonder if death is possible in this Realm.

[ xie lian is not nearly as worried about these consequences, apparently! the hornets are stinging him. it hurts kind of, but he's not really paying attention, swatting away at the hornets by the door handle with his big sleeves so he can get it open. ] -- Are there realms where death isn't? -- ah! Quickly, quickly, Shiro, this way!

[ see! he's fine! ow. ]

Don't go wishing for death, that'll call it this way!

[He is so blaming the eventual murders on Chiron now.

But since Chiron got that item, Shiro is going to run right past Xie Lian and into the emporium. The sooner they find tokyo tower, the sooner they can escape the hornets.

I'm asking in case anyone is allergic to the hornet's sting. I'd rather be prepared than willfully ignorant.

Also I'll be nice, he gets into the emporium and -- oof. He was not kidding about having no idea where he's going. Horses were not build for this. Neither were centaurs.

He's gonna keep galloping because he has zero interest in getting stung more, but you guys are on your own for the tower. He's trying to make sure he doesn't run into anything.]

Ah, no, I think if I didn't know that I was allergic by now, that would be quite troublesome... I'm alright!

[ once chiron comes galloping in, xie lian slams the door shut with a resounding enough thud that some of the tchtotkes that line the shelves start rattling.

once the adrenaline wears off, this will probably be a little painful! xie lian's hands are covered in stings, and he swats one of the stragglers from the inside of the emporium down, catching the angry thing in the fabric of his sleeve and wrapping it up so it doesn't immediately die. ]

There... I think we should be alright, now, right? Just some stragglers! [ time to continue trying to catch and/or swat down the remaining hornets less they attack shiro on his tokyo tower mission. ]

If someone's allergic, they're shit out of luck.

-- Y'know what? Good enough plan. Chiron is only vaguely familiar with the Tokyo Tower as is. So while he is at least very certain of what it isn't, he will double-check some items with a brush of his hand]

Is there a specific area inside the building you think it would be?

[ xie lian is wisely looking at the picture on his little device, pulling it up to his nose to look at all the little details and ignoring his hornet stings entirely for the moment. ]

"Tokyo tower"...it looks a bit like a figurine, doesn't it?
