WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

[ lup doesn't seem to mind! in fact, she'll lead, even if she's also not very good at like, actual ballroom dancing. it ends up mostly being a weird mash-up of waltzing and swing dancing, though she's careful to not go too crazy since she doesn't want ange to like... trip. or something. ]

Tell me if I'm going too fast. [ she says after a minute, laughing. ]

[She does okay, despite her earlier protests--much more on the waltz side of things than the swing dancing, for sure, though she seems to have a good time as she follows Lup's movements.

She laughs as well, a little breathless, but clearly delighted.]

I have never danced like this before, but it is an awful lot of fun...!

[evocationary]

[ ah, good. time to twirl ange gently. ]

You really put on your dancing shoes, yeah. Hey, head's up -- [ and when ange is facing her again, lup dips her, grinning. ]

[lecarre]

[oh my god.

Oh my god??

Ange flushes immediately as she's dipped, though she moves with it well enough that she doesn't, like, throw both of them off.

She's totally stammering immediately, though.]

M-miss...! [She has no actual protests she's just flustered by Lup's coolness again.]

[ lup is just tipsy enough to find this endlessly amusing. ]

Shush, shush, no miss. [ lup says, straightening them both. she very gently pushes ange's hair out of her eyes and then takes a step back to bow deeply like a nerd. ]

[lecarre]

[Well. After all of that, what can Ange do but curtsy in response? She does so, face still red, but with a smile on her face.]

As ever, you are too much for me. [It's said lightly, though.] But I had such a good time even so.

[evocationary]

Good. That's mostly what I was looking for. [ she says, honestly. ] Having a good time before the shit inevitably hits the fan.

[lecarre]

[Well... That gets her to pause, tilting her head a little.

What an...evocative saying...]

Do you... um, think that is going to happen? Things were not so bad this week, were they?

[evocationary]

Eh. They've been fine. I just don't believe we got kidnapped here to do a couple of easy scavenger hunts for some amnesiacs, you feel me?

[ she adjusts her robes, with a sigh. ] I'm expecting them to ramp up the difficulty. Maybe next week it'll be dinosaurs.

[lecarre]

[Ah...]

I suppose that is true... they probably wouldn't need such a diverse group of people for only scavenger hunts.

[Though Ange almost got her nose broken on hers so that might be her upper limit already.]

But dinosaurs are extinct, aren't they...?

[evocationary]

[ she looks amused. ]

There are mermaids in the river and you're concerned about dinosaurs being extinct?
