WEEK ZERO: MINGLE
WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding! |

They are indeed riddles! It wasn't the original purpose, but... well, I'm not sure that I can send these flying anywhere, exactly, so I thought it would be nice if they were used for something...

[ She's curious. Even if she may have some knowledge of other cultures, she doesn't have much of the finer details, and learning about all walks of life is important to her. ]
If we need to, I'm sure we can ask one of the Leaders for a way to fly them.
[ Give them fire or give them death!
(they're going to get death.) ]

xie lian takes the lantern in his hands again, tilting it to one side as if checking to see if it's less ugly from another angle. ]
Originally, it is tradition to send up a lantern to the Heavens during the Mid-Autumn Festival - and the lantern festival in the spring, as well. Devotees to a certain god will send them and ask that god for blessings and good luck in the upcoming months.
I'm fairly sure it will be impossible here, of course, but it felt wrong not to do something... [ even if it feels really narcissistic, or at least it did at first... it's not like he was going to pray to himself. maybe. ]

It's not her religion, but she can acknowledge and appreciate the sentiment. It's like sending a prayer on a lantern. ]
If we have the time to practice our customs and traditions, we should.
[ When they're at danger of losing their memories, any chance to to remember should taken. ]
The action itself is a forward motion. [ Even if the recipient is unable to receive the message. ]

That's what I was thinking, too. The more actions like this that we share with each other, the harder it is for them to be forgotten, isn't it? Even if the loss of our memories would be temporary, to lose such things even for a small time could be hurtful.
All of these small things make up who we are. It would be a shame to lose them. [ turning to jeanne, he nods. ] Would you like to say a prayer to one with me?
