On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off.

It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around. However, an alert will notify the participants to a new message on their PHS.

Hello everyone. Apparently something happened last night while everyone was asleep. We're not sure what's going on, but there has been a huge disturbance with nova and the six of us are going to check it out.

But it seems like something also happened in the town. Can you all please go and try to find the source of it? Sorry for troubling you!

Time to investigate.

Welcome to your first investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

Clementine will see nothing in the grass!

Izumo, however, will see something in the water--but a lot further into the river. ]

well, since there's something in the water and there was a message about a disturbance, izumo is going to willingly forget the note about not swimming in the river because of mermaids. it's fine? totally fine. the mods wouldn't do anything too bad this early in the game, right?

wordlessly, she'll drop her phs onto the riverbank and kick off her shoes and pull off her hoodie before wading into the river (or eventually swimming, depending on how far) like there's nothing wrong with this at all. sorry mob and clem. ]

As for Clementine, she won't see anything on the bridge, but walking closer to it, she'll see something floating right under it in the water. It seems like it was difficult to spot until she was closer.

The mermaids are not morning people. Izumo will wander in, luckily, won't have to go deep enough to swim. Unluckily, she will feel a sharp stab of pain in one of her feet. Guess she stepped in something. ]

[ More like a broken piece of glass sharp. She should possibly check to make sure there aren't any pieces in her foot. That sucks.

Meanwhile, Clementine will find what looks like a small notebook barely floating along. ]

if she doesn't see anything else of note, she's head back towards the other two. ]

[ given the fact that glass in foot is nothing that she wants to make worse while they don't have a functioning first aid stand, she'll let mob escort out of the water, but did she really go into the water to step on glass.......
