WEEK ZERO: REMOVAL (41 remain) Time to wake up, participants of the Realm. At 8am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS. Please be at the plaza by 9am. Even if the participants ignore the message (or are sleeping in, shame on them), as 9am approaches they will fall victim to a compulsion to head to the specified location. Three Leaders, Fox, Rabbit, and Wolf, are already present, Virid with them. Wolf (again) speaks. "... Everyone's here now, so we'll learn what needs to be done soon." Once they finish speaking, an alert goes off from a PHS in the crowd—specifically, Yona's. Her PHS displays a simple message. You have been selected to remove Virid Visette Viridian. Regardless of her will, she will feel compelled to walk towards the scene. No other participant will be able to interfere; should they try, a barrier blocks their way.

[ Granted, she's not going to clap her hands over his eyes or forcibly turn him away. He's old enough to decide, honestly. ]

[that's a relief. he doesn't turn his eyes away too much, but just enough to glance at her.]

Should any of us? This isn't right. [this is really pretty extreme, actually, made worse by the fact yona's in there, too.]

But I don't want to look away from this right now. I won't understand anything otherwise.

[ And honestly, she's not even sure watching it will help her, but. She sort of feels like she has a duty to, at this point. ]

[it's a hard decision considering they were brought here to watch someone die, but then again after yesterday...]

Neither do I. If this is the only way we can learn what might happen to the rest of us...we probably can't. [if this ever happens again...this will be preparations for the future.]

...thank you, Dorothy. [for trusting him to make that decision, he means. it's still an awful one for everyone involved, but she's right. they won't understand otherwise.]

[ Dorothy offers him a faint smile, but then says nothing more. Not a peep out of her, until the guillotine comes down and her next breath shakes a little.

[it would be a lie to say he doesn't flinch when the blade comes down, but he doesn't look away either even if he does move a little closer to her. despite what she's said, he can't imagine this is any easier for her either.

As evidenced by the way Dorothy absently reaches out to ruffle his spikes as the barrier goes down. ]

Go check on her, all right? I think she was probably the least prepared of all of us.
