WEEK ONE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around. However, an alert will notify the participants to a new message on their PHS. oh n Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your second investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [ while they're doing that, she'll go ahead and examine the machinery for any signs of tinkering or anything generally weird about it, while trying not to slip on stuff. ]

[ Nothing weird about the grease! It doesn't look like the machinery has been tinkered with, either. Imagine if it had been and blew up right now, but no. ]

Well, can't say I disagree with that, but...hmm.

[ Not sure if room is void of anything suspicious, or if it's just hidden really well.

Can any of the machinery be moved to inspect behind it? Because Vezda will grip any machine that isn't bolted to the wall or floor and start trying to shift it. ]

well since bucky has the machinery handled and despite [redacted] reasons, izumo is going to just march on forward into the room and look for anything else that might jump out at her as odd. sure, caution is fine but there's also something that's bound to hit her in the face.

...hopefully not literally. ]

Honestly, I'm not even sure what we're looking for in a place like this...

[ izumo makes a good point, though, so hilda will trot back and check out the door to the ??? room and she will... wiggle through if she can. is the door still hard to get through? ]

[ As Vezda moves machinery around, he will find some stuff underneath them! There's a container of lye, along with a bloodied lab coat.

The door to the ??? room is probably still hard to open, yes. Once they're in... where exactly is Izumo looking? Oh wait, Izumo didn't go into the ??? room. I can't read.

But nothing will stand out to Izumo at a glance if she's looking around the Engine Room. ]

[ well, the lab coat is pretty damning. But even more concerning is the lye. He leans down closer to it to examine--any visible fingerprints on it? How much is in there? Is it...visibly pure lye, or is it discolored in some way (i have no idea what lye is supposed to look like but Vezda would, okay) ]

I think we can safely assume this is another murder, but we may not have a body to recover this time.

[ it's okay mods. i'm not sure where anyone is positioning themselves in this room but hearing that comment from vezda, she'll raise an eyebrow. that's... hmm. ]

What's that supposed to mean?

[ if nothing stands out to her immediately, she'll turn back around to circle back into the ??? room. ]

[ she listens through the doorway, but now it's time to investigate this other room. let's start with the operating table—anything off about it? is there a body? anything weird around it? ]

[ The container is not full! All of your other questions... will have to wait until trial tomorrow.

Lying on the operating table is Hilda's poor desire to not have to do any work. Aside from that, there's blood stains on the table. Hm. ]

Lye is highly corrosive. It's often used to dissolve bodies or otherwise get rid of evidence. Look for anything suspiciously clean too, just in case.

[ He gives the room one last glance--any footprints? Anything oddly clean? Anything on the ceiling? ]

okay, no, but that's unsettling but izumo will make note to see if there's anything suspiciously clean or made "unclean" again on her way back towards the ??? room which though that will not end well for her. ]

Then, are we supposed to look for something big enough for a body? [ err. ] Or...something smaller for chunks of a body?

[ she audibly groans at that. ]

I don't want to find anything like that, thank you.

[ but okay, what about the surgical equipment? everything in order there? any body parts in the bucket? ]

[ Nothing on the ceiling or oddly clean (or unclean) in the Engine Room!

There are wet scalpels in the bucket! No body parts, though. However, since Hilda is looking at the bucket, which is in the sink, she'll also see what's in the sink: a saw, tucked away, and slowly draining blood. ]

[ Vezda follows into the ??? room and immediately freezes at the sight. ]

I thought I got rid of all this shit! Damn it!

[ Okay, focus. Focus. He can get mad about this later. Anything under the table? Is the blood in the sink...chunky? ]

[ that's some pretty interesting words to use given the context here. context, which, isn't making her skin not crawl. that said, and against better judgement, let's take a look at that blood stain.

[ okay cool a bunch of sharp objects in blood, no big. anyway screams in time limit, she'll take a quick look around the room. anything on the ceiling? in the corners? ]

[ Hilda will find nothing on the ceiling.

The blood stains are smears, yes. The blood in the sink isn't chunky.

And there's nothing under the table specifically, but I'll be nice and tell you that since Vezda is looking down, he'll find around on the floor: a bloody scalpel, purple hair, and blond hair. ]
