WEEK ONE: TRIAL

WEEK ONE: TRIAL
(38 remain)

Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating:
empoti enp emporium. by the strike of twelve.

Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them.

Three of the Leaders are there with them: Swan, Tiger, and Goat. Tiger speaks.

"You have nine hours. Try not to stab each other during them."

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the second trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

If you have any questions at any time, please let us know by pinging us on Discord!

Mn. [ ye. he nods. ] Wasn't there a mess found in the Emporium, too? It's between the Planetarium and the Station.

Oh, that's true. A bloody T-shirt and a hair strand were found there, correct?

[hmmm]

But it lacks writing... It sounds as though Cater may have not yet encountered her attacker by the time she made it to the Virtual Room, hence her impatience.

En. I'd like to make sure the third note was her, too, just in case. [ hurry up... interesting phrasing. ]

Perhaps the Emporium has to do with Miss Sharon, then? Though, I can't imagine it must have occurred at the same time - if their paths crossed, they certainly would have noticed each other.

[ considering. what a mess! ] ...The docking bay also comes before the Virtual Reality room, if you are coming from the bridge. She may have been chased there. Perhaps she was trying to draw whomever it was's attention that way...? It's all only conjecture.

It seems like the Virtual Reality room is also a type of place that could be recognized by those... more modern? [AH, THE MODERNS. so that's something to consider] In truth, I do think that could lead us somewhere.

Mm - there was a blonde hair found there, yes? As well as in the kitchen and in the Northern area...

[hmmmmm]

I do think that it's possible that Cater met her end in the Northern area, given the way that the timeline appears. She did not encounter her attacker until she was there - but we need to determine how it happened and who it was.

It would follow that they would be more familiar, yes, but it is also worth consideration that we have all had time to learn its functions by now. I believe it would not do to narrow your focus too early.

En, even I can at least work the machine. Though, if the simulation that was up was something none of us could recognize, then that might help.

For instance, my mental image and memory of a "temple" may look quite different from someone else's.
