WEEK ONE: REMOVAL

WEEK ONE: REMOVAL
(38 remain)

Time to wake up, participants of the Realm. At 8am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS.
Docking bay in space. 9AM.

Even if the participants ignore the message (or are sleeping in, shame on them), as 9am approaches they will fall victim to a compulsion to head to the specified location. Three Leaders, Tiger, Swan, and Goat, are already present, Kano with them. Tiger speaks.

"Let's... just get this over with."

Once they finish speaking, an alert goes off from a PHS in the crowd—specifically, Jeanne's. Her PHS displays a simple message.
You have been selected to remove Shuuya Kano.

Regardless of her will, she will feel compelled to walk towards the scene. No other participant will be able to interfere; should they try, a barrier blocks their way, though it won't harm them.

[It's fine? He finds this a little easier to deal with then people having emotions in his direction.]

Ah. . . I'm sure that's true. I was thinking of the times I've seen a spirit possess a human body. Because they don't feel pain, they're able to push their limits.

I... suppose that is true. The human body can be pushed far beyond its normal limits temporarily, without pain, with enough will, but...

That's... different, isn't it? There's no repercussion there, for the spirit.

It doesn't matter to them that the body they leave behind might end up hurting and broken.

[ so is the takeaway from this that Kano doesn't, either? that he'd already accepted what would happen, since yesterday? ]

It doesn't matter to them, no.

[But he didn't think it would matter to Kano, either.]

But someone who has already decided to go so far as to kill another person. . . it probably won't matter to them, either.

He would've had to live with it afterwards whether he wants to or not. I think he'd understand that, at least.

[ what point is there in fighting for your life if you don't intend to live after? would he have attempted murder to prove a point, then turned the scalpel on himself before he made anyone else a murderer?

she can't speculate that much. she doesn't have any claim to knowing him, after all. ]

Even if he doesn't care about it now.
