WEEK TWO: MINGLE

WEEK TWO: MINGLE (37 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs! Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing. Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

Perhaps we could write them down in our PHS when we first awaken on Friday, and share them only with the people you spent the night with...? It would have to be immediate, but it might be good to set up a system.

Maybe, but that's what I mean -- if someone in your group, so whoever you were with that night, killed someone they'd know how to fake an effect if you show them before we're forced into the emporium.

If we have someone checking effects, maybe groups could show them what's written on the PHS and they could announce it? ... But if it's something easy to figure out, like not being able to walk in a straight line or something, everyone in the group might know immediately.

That is true. I think it would be best to minimize the number of people who don't sleep in town on Thursday night, no matter what.

Maybe we need to do some kind of public announcement on Thursday morning, or even Wednesday evening and see if that changes any minds.

About where to sleep...? Didn't we have the notes, last week... ? That might be a good idea to repeat, again.

Just... some kind of failsafe that makes it harder to fake a side effect of where you sleep.

But also, uh. Just an announcement. Asking people to try and stay in town if they can. We can't do it via megaphone, they don't have any in the emporium. [ alex pls ]

I'm sure there's someone among us who can shout really loudly. [ optimistic. ]

Or... maybe the leaders can pass along a note through the PHS? Is that possible?

We... could ask them?

[ then again two of them apparently just lay face down and Did Not Perceive as kano just shoved scalpels in his boots all of saturday night, so who knows.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, right? The worst they could do is say no.

Right. I'm not sure who the best one to ask would be, though... [ probably one of this week's trio? ]

Maybe Brother Rabbit... or Brother Wolf? I'm not sure either.

If we need to talk to them about something we could just remember to ask about this too?
