WEEK TWO: MINGLE
WEEK TWO: MINGLE (37 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs! Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing. Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun! |

And the second question just
well haha how close is XL standing
her smile tries to reach her eyes, at least!]
...I'm just curious, I guess. Nobody really talks a lot just about who they are and where they're from, things they like, anything like that. Maybe because we're all really stressed about what's going on. But...
It's... a little easier to remember somebody this way, right?

she will feel a little wash of sadness from xie lian, though it doesn't last for long. xie lian takes the pen (?) and the paper from her, and settles down across from her to write it down.
xian le, and then puji shrine. his handwriting is lovely, the characters translating into loopy calligraphy. ] I think it's a nice idea. There are so many little details we can write down, the little things that make us up - especially if our profiles disappear.
[ he adds "xie lian" at the top, too. ] There.

Yeah, exactly. I... know we can't do a whole lot for those that are already gone, but...
I hope people remember enough about them, or got to talk to them enough, that we can write something down for them, too.

[ ...ah! it feels like he's onto something. xie lian smiles, brightening a little, too. ] For instance, I might write that Kano taught me what a "l*go" was.
It is not uncommon to do our best to remember the people who have passed on, I don't think. And with things being a bit...well, um, forgetful, here, it might be nice to have. We could do one for Pikachu and Miss Hajime and Virid as well.

I'd like that. For Cater-chan and Sharon-san, too. Once the Realm is together again... I wanna take whatever we write, and... do something with it. Maybe fly a lantern, like what you did for Claude's party... But if we do it all now, while we still can...
[A beat.]
I... can't really remember what Hajime-chan looked like anymore, you know? I remember how tall she was, and that her hair was dark. I remember a couple things she told me. But...
[It feels like something, somewhere, is just slipping back into the clouds to vanish, and that fear chews away, subtle but not letting go.]

[ xie lian starts to reach out--then pauses, remembering this week's odd rule. instead, ruoye comes out a moment later, and pats the top of her hand encouragingly. his own emotions are lingering on concern, but there's a soothing nature to it, too. his heart is as still as water. ]
Let's do what we can, now. Would it be alright to use some of your paper to make a list?
no subject
Yeah! That's what it's there for. There should be a lotta clean paper left.
[There is, indeed, a lot of clean paper left, save for a couple pages that seem to have gotten mixed up in the mess - one with the names of the dead, missing many of the surnames, one with a list of names that will all be unfamiliar to Xie Lian, and one that's already been folded but has only Shuuya Kano's name, written over and over.
Hikaru is currently just scribbling as she stuffs a cookie in her mouth, don't mind her.]

anyway. xie lian takes a few sheets, and writes "memories you have of:" and then each participant's name, one per sheet. they can go put these up somewhere, and perhaps people will add!
he adds, a moment later, to kano's: taught me what l*gos are, and then, to pikachu's: he liked to fight. he cannot remember how, or why, but at least he remembers that much.
it's a start. ]
