WEEK TWO: MINGLE

WEEK TWO: MINGLE (37 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs! Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing. Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

In some places. I don't know if they do here yet, but I'm not missing the chance to check just in case. [this explains nothing.

What's so important about white crabs anyway?

The last time I was in a place like this, they had the power to point us in the right direction to get some answers. They weren't always easy to find though.

[ You know what? Sure. Fuck it. It's not the weirdest thing he's ever heard before. ]

How're you so sure you're gonna find any here?

[reconnective]

I'm not. But isn't it better to actually look then not bother and miss out if they are here? Not like we have much else to do right now anyway.

[frostythehitman]

[ grumbles incoherently ]

Well, you're not wrong about that, at least...

[ He goes for another sip from his whiskey bowl, only to startle and splash half of it onto himself. ]

Jesus! The damn crabs!

[ Indeed. One has crawled into the booze. ]

[reconnective]

[SIR. there goes the whiskey. and the crabs. and sora's just hauling himself up onto the dock to gather the crabs to put them out of the way of vezda's booze bowl.]

You put it down at their level! What did you expect? [like this is somehow vezda's fault and not sora's for removing the crabs from the ocean in the first place.]

Well where the hell else am I supposed to put it?!

I don't know, a glass? At least that's taller!

A glass couldn't hold even a quarter of this!

[reconnective]

But do you really need this much?

[ you really wanna ask that, sora? ]

[...sigh.]

Alright, alright. Sorry I asked. [he moves to crab a few wayward crabs.] Maybe a bucket would be better. The sides are taller.

You got a bucket?

[reconnective]

I could probably find one if you're really that picky about it. [there's a boat? right there? there is maybe a bucket on it.]

[frostythehitman]

...Two buckets.

One for me, and one to keep all these damn crabs in.

[reconnective]

Okay. [he agrees so easily for someone who's taking the crabs out of the ocean in the first place.] If there aren't any in the cargo area of the ship I think I know just where to look.

[frostythehitman]

Great. I'll just be...here.

[ and he flops over onto his back like he's gonna take a nap. if the crabs take him, then so be it. but you better bring back some fuckin' buckets sora. ]

[reconnective]

[the crabs begin to crawl and sora simply stares.]

Sure. Don't move, I guess. [god. whatever he will...go and find buckets on the ship maybe!

the crabs scale mount vezda.]

[ He doesn't bother moving as the crabs cover him. His head is spinning too much to put up a fight. it's fine. as long as the crabs don't pinch him, this is fine. ]

[reconnective]

[peench...but no, the crabs are marginally behaved especially since half of them want nothing to do with sora's bullshit and immediately fling themselves back into the water. but after a while sora does come back with two buckets! they are somewhat shallow, but they should do.]

Good enough?

[ He grunts in agreement and waves a hand vaguely. ]

Great. Now get these dumb crabs off me and into one of those buckets.

[reconnective]

I dunno. They look pretty comfortable right now. [there are some that are more than content to crawl over vezda, but he shakes his head and begins picking them up anyway.]

[frostythehitman]

I don't care about how they feel, I just wanna not have to worry about crabs tangling my hair or getting in my whiskey. Again.
