Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up.

The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed.

Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel.

Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs!

Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing.

Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

anyway, since this is a swamp, he's looking instead for things like other holes they may have dug, places where the ground looks extra swampy, that sort of thing-- if there's anywhere he can use the environment against them, he's going to lead them that way, taking another shot or two at them along the way. come along lil skellies...]

But Jeanne will be able to dig out the chest more fully. It's a good thing that Emet has the skeletons occupied, because they'd be pretty pissed if they weren't following him? Luckily, this is a swamp, and he is leading them straight to... quicksand. Quicksandwater? I don't know geography, but this is my location, and there's quicksand swamp land here and Emet is leading them to there.

The chest, meanwhile, is vibing. ]

[ Jeanne can open a chest, as a treat... inside, there are a lot of gold coins. Probably cursed? Who even knows anymore.

Meanwhile, the skeletons chase after Emet after being taunted... they are not genre savvy. They immediately start sinking, but since they have removable limbs, they start to throw them at him. ]

[ now izumo will uncross her arms and hold the shovel in her hands like a baseball bat and swing it as hard as possible against the skeleton's head with every intention of knocking it clear off of its shoulders. sometimes it helps to bait things out a bit.

...maaaaybe she should have waited a moment later but maybe she can just hold onto the head if she manages to knock it off as a talking companion?? should izumo be afraid of these things? eh. again, she used to deal with stuff like this. probably. ]

We should be looking for whatever treasure that's powering the skeletons.

Thank you for your assistance, but I feel as if what they were hurriedly digging at could have been it, or at least part of it. I don't know the veracity of their words, but I do not think we should test what these coins do.

Well, if there's no way that we want to test it out here, why not bring it back to the port? At least we won't have be in this stupid swamp anymore.

We'll have to make sure no one can test it, then. If no one protests, perhaps we can sink it in the ocean— Ah, but I don't want my new fateful partner to become a skeleton, so we'll have to seal this chest up tight.
