WEEK TWO: MINGLE

WEEK TWO: MINGLE
(37 remain)

Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up.

The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed.

Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel.

Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs!

Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing.

Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

I don't remember.
showyourself: (you snow me so well)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-15 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh--no. I'm so sorry. Just like Bucky?

[that sucks!!]

Do you... have any nicknames you prefer? It seems a little strange, just calling you by your last name all the time!

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-15 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod! Sometimes, it just be like that.]

Well... I don't mind being called Violet, too. But is it not polite to call people by their last name where you're from?
showyourself: (just so you snow)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-15 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... it's... very formal. Mostly, it's a noble trait. And calling someone by their family name can be very confusing, especially when they have a large family! Even if I abridged it with "Mr" or "Ms", it would sound a little...

[she rocks a hand mid-air. it just doesn't jive with 1800s nords, kiddo.]

If Violet works, though... shall I call you that?

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-16 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! I understand. Then, please, call me Violet. It's the codename my senpais gave me, so I don't mind being referred to by it.
showyourself: (snow me the ropes)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-16 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
A... code name? [she tilts her head and smiles in a bemused way. what?] Like a... spy? A secret society? Or a secret flower, I suppose.

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-16 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
As a Phantom Thief, actually. Though, I wouldn't call myself an official member.

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-16 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
A... thief?

[huh!]

...I guess... gymnastics would help with that.
siblingless: (109)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-23 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, though not in the traditional sense. We don't steal money, or material possessions.
showyourself: (i don't snow)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-24 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
...What else is there to steal?
siblingless: (118)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-29 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
[She pats her chest, right over her heart.]'

Twisted desires.
showyourself: (the whitest kid u snow)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-29 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
[

huh?]

Why would you want to steal that, though?

That sounds more as though you're doing a service than a crime...
siblingless: (112)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-29 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
To change their hearts! [Proudly! She loves and supports her senpais.] The Phantom Thieves aren't criminals, although they do operate outside of the law...
showyourself: (Default)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-30 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
That sort of seems like a branding issue...

[why THIEVES!!!]

Why not... the "phantom rescuers" or... something like that? I can't imagine why changing hearts would be illegal, in any case.
siblingless: (108)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-10-30 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
Now that, I don't know.
showyourself: (takes one to snow one)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-10-30 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
Well... I guess you're at that... rebellious age?
siblingless: (002)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-05 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
... I suppose you could say that, yes!

[Laughing a little. Something something, spirit of rebellion.]
showyourself: (snow me the ropes)

[personal profile] showyourself 2020-11-05 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
So. How do you tell if someone has twisted desires for you to steal in the first place?

Do you check their safe? [tee hee]
siblingless: (112)

[personal profile] siblingless 2020-11-05 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
... You know, I'm not entirely sure how my senpais discovered it! But I think— those people have something called a shadow?

[Yoshizawa did not get the full lore. It's fine.]
