WEEK TWO: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your third investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). it might not matter because she just picks one and slips on her way, nearly falling into the ocean. she catches herself though, stops very pointedly, and then fistpumps.

[ All of the small ships are still there! Does Chiron want to sail away in one...

Reeces makes noises. It could be telling Claude who killed, who's dead, or the secrets to the entire game, but Claude will never know because he doesn't speak dolphin. Alas. Also, Claude will not see anything in particular as he takes a scenic stroll down the port.

There doesn't appear to be anything in the water at a glance. ]

Archer! Check the boats! [ she says, loudly. ] See, uh - see...

Are there missing ones? What's missing, check the missing, don't miss anything on the boats! I'm going to check the water.

[ and then she just canonballs into the ocean to see if she can see anything once she's in it. ]

[-- LUP BUT HE'S AFRAID YOU'RE DRUNK AND NOW IN THE WATER--]

[His voice is a little strained as he proceeds to pace like a mother hen by the dock and then just

Hey, Lup, be carefu-- (AND THEN SHE JUST JUMPS IN?) She sure is active this morning.

(I don't know how many boats are out here but I guess he'll start to check a few?? Step onto one and see if there's a body or bloody murder weapon or something? How many boats are there or is one missing?)

[ Lup cannonballs into the ocean and sends all evidence drifting away. No, I'm kidding. Chiron can jump in there with her, sure. Reeces will join them because friends? I hope Ara didn't decide Reeces was vicious. But they won't see anything.

There are no boats missing, but in one of the boats that Claude checks, he'll find uno (1) pair of gloves. ]

[Me realizing if Chiron and Lup touch in the water they will just die from the zaps, maybe...

Whelp too late to think about that too deeply. He is glad to see there are no bodies in the water but once he's certain Lup won't die, he's heading to the surface, thank you!

And he looks at the ceiling for good measure.

(Gonna go check out those gloves! Picking them up carefully and looking them over. Is there anything on them? Does it look like work gloves or fashion gloves?

And he'll also look around if he can tell where they came from.)

[ lup is just floating on her back here for a bit as chiron swims next to her. until claude mentions the gloves, and she immediately hoists herself out of the water and climbs up onto the deck with an incredible amount of dexterity that she quickly loses once she's on dry land. ]

CLAUDE FOUND SOMETHING! [ she hollers at top volume. and then she sprawls out on the deck. she looks very closely at the boards for blood, because she's a good detective, not because she's on the ground. ]

Archer, carry me. Me land legs are lacking. Yarr. [ we should probably go to the fort... ]

[retellers]

[ Chiron will see a cloud that resembles the alcoholic baby he no longer has. Anyway.

The gloves look like the aesthetic of the town, which is to say they're... fashionable work gloves? Nothing on them. ]

[WOW LET HIM GRIEVE IN PEACE.

Anyway he's giving Lup a sigh once he somehow pulls all two tons of him out of the water, dripping]

That will result in us shocking each other. On your feet, Lup. Let us check the fort next.

[Also to Claude while they're going to explore the second area:] What did you find?

[But once they are at the fort, Chiron will again just give a general scan of the area. Anything amiss. Did someone paint the walls with literal blood?]

A pair of gloves.

(Holding them up,)

I don't think there's too much here so yeah, we should probably move on. We can probably see something from the top of the fort.

(See: LET'S GO TO THE FORT! And check to see if there's any clues along the way like a blood thirsty pirate squirrel)

Haha, oh right. Archer, did I tell you I shocked the fuck out of Hansa?

[ she definitely slurs some of those words. also, she crawls across the deck with so much dignity. when she gets to actual land, she pulls herself to her feet and wrings her hair out, sniffling.

she follows behind the two of them slowly, walking fairly competently. she only stumbles once or twice. the first time it's because she swears she hears her brother in danger of being left on his own somewhere? the second time she doesn't have an excuse.

she watches the floor and makes sure they're not missing footprints or blood splatters or random hair on the way to the fort. ]

[ Claude might see glimpses of a squirrel as he walks by, but it's hard to say if it's real or if it's his fear of his greatest enemy and your mod is fucking with you. (It's the last one.)

Reeces says goodbye in dolphin noises as they leave.

But no blood or anything! Or anything out of place at a glance. ]

[A pause... he looks like he's trying not to smile in exasperation at her.]

I had not, but I'm certain it was electrifying.

[Anyway before anyone can call him out on his Dad Pun, he's going to trot off!! The fort is big so he wants to search as much of it as possible, but will go looking by the cannons first. Trying to make sure no one used them and there's nothing amiss there]

Let's split up and try to cover ground.

I'll check out the jail. Make sure no one got locked in last night.

[ she gremlin cackles at the dad joke, good one. and then: ]

Cannons.

[ is what she says, coherently, to both of them. and then: ]

Dibs on kitchen! [ she's going to go check the building with the kitchen and look under tables, at the ceiling, cabinets, idk what's in here. ]

[ There doesn't seem to be anything amiss among the cannons.

In the jail, Claude finds... another pair of gloves! Wow, he can start a collection.

Lup looks very hard but finds nothing of note. ]

[The mods: you'll get gloves and will be happy with them.

Also Lup laughed at his joke... he might be quietly happy about that.

The next area he'll check is the rest of the walking area on top of the wall since he can just... gallop around it for speed. Hair flying free in the wind even though he's soaked. Is there anything of note while he's looking at the ground/walls?

He is also gonna take his horse butt to the roof of the fort since he's on his way there, looking specifically at the ground and where the public hangings would be conducted.]

(He is, in fact going to start a collection.

He'll pick those up carefully and check them out for anything-- blood, dirt, etc and give the jail another quick look around to see if anything seems out of place.

Otherwise, he'll just double check these other rooms??? The ones that are mostly usually locked to see if any of them are SUDDENLY OPEN or have more gloves thrown in them.)

[ gonna look in the buildings with the beds. what's under those suckers. and on top of them. and the ceiling. and the floor, real closely looking at the floor. ]

[ Chiron will note that the noose is presumably still gone unless someone put it back when your mods wasn't looking.
