WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! Or “greetings”! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh that’s true. Greetings, everyone. That’s better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the that’s better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

Could be a clever ruse. Or, honestly, it doesn't even have to be. Some of the biggest clowns I've ever known have been mafia bosses. Lemme tell you, Greg Grimaldis? Total dingus, and yet he's got a big fancy casino he made off my dollars.

[stealing is bad unless you're just stealing stuff that belonged to you first.]

Oh, I intend to. The second the world isn't ending I'm gonna Ocean's Eleven his ass so hard he ends up thinking he's Terry Benedict himself.

Oh, wow, that was so sincere it kind of hurt a little. Uh, I don't know, that's the fun of it. I'm a multipath RPG.
no subject
Okay. Then I'm going to do it. [just watch.] My name's Sora.
[the first step on the path he's choosing is introductions.]
no subject
Uh. Lup. [ is sora the first person she's just given her name to without some stupid joke or prank? signs point to maybe. ] Hey, Sora.

No idea. Wait it out, I guess. I've gotten patient in my old age.
no subject
Waiting's an option. But I was going to go explore a little and see what the town has to offer. Do you want to come with me?
no subject
I guess? If only to make sure you don't trip on all that boundless optimism. [ she makes a gagging face. ] Let's check it out.
no subject
Okay! There's a shop up ahead, and there are a few more buildings toward the other end of town we can look through and see if there are any clues about what's happening.
no subject
Fine, fine. Lead the way, little dude.
no subject
Hey, it's all I've got right now. [and so he begins to lead, folding his hands behind his head while he walks at a leisurely pace.] It's usually the first thing we do when we end up in a new world anyway, but they've never been this empty before.
no subject
Wait, we? Are you part of another pack of interdimensional world travelers?

[it's simple. but the emporium's ahead and he points at it.] There it is. Let's check it out.
[and inside they go to explore!!]
