WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! Or “greetings”! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh that’s true. Greetings, everyone. That’s better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the that’s better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

Don't I? The Bahamas are wonderful. The air is warm, the water is blue, and there are beautiful Bahamian women everywhere.
[i forgot he was saying this in a heart headband]
no subject
I just mean you seem more like, I don't know - a whiskey and library sort of guy, that's all I'm saying. [ she adjusts her stupid sunglasses. ] There's still plenty of pretty women here, at least.
no subject
Yes, I'm speaking to one right now. [i hate this] I prefer a nice wine, but I do enjoy a good library.
You know me so well already.
no subject
Hah. Charming. [ she pushes her stupid glasses up to rest on her head. ] So how many girls have you flattered exactly like this today, huh? Gimme a ballpark figure.
no subject
Two. Though I believe Miss Dorothy spent more time flattering me than the other way around. So that leaves only you.
no subject
Damn straight. [ lup, please. she starts flicking through the sunglasses display. ] I'll take your figure.
no subject
I am glad to comply. What happens if the figure changes later?
[He reaches over her to take a pair of sunglasses, which he hands to her afterward.]
no subject
And uh - we'll burn that bridge when we get to it, hm?
no subject
Should I be concerned you would burn it rather than cross it? [He nods about the glasses though.] Somehow, they are fitting.
no subject
[ she says this in the flattest tone ever. ] Everything is fitting on me, bud.
no subject
I think it's you who makes everything more fitting, not the other way around, Miss Taako.
no subject
Oh, stop. [ she says, in the tone of someone who does not want the compliments to stop. ] Try these on, tall, dork and handsome.
[ and she hands him these. ]
no subject
As you wish. [He trades out the clown shades for the fuck ones.] Are you trying to make me into a "bad boy"?
[They look fucking ridiculous.]
no subject
I guess bad boys don't go to the library.
no subject
You would be surprised by just how many you may find there.
no subject
Seeing as I've never stepped foot in a library because I'm not a nerd, I wouldn't know. [ she says, abruptly, but it's more teasing than anything. she hurriedly puts the fuck you glasses back. ]
So, uh. Any ideas as to why we're here?
no subject
[If he notices, or minds the staring, he doesn't say. He just smiles, not bothered by the teasing either.]
I was hoping perhaps you could tell me.
no subject
Nope! Haven't got a single clue, inkling or thought. [ no thoughts head empty ] By all accounts, I shouldn't even be in this body.
no subject
Oh? [Both brows raise.] What do you mean by that exactly, if I may ask?
no subject
It means...
