In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. Though there were certainly other centaurs, few in number though they typically were. However, I was considered unique among them, and we seldom crossed paths.

In addition to that, I've been developing a theory that we are all from different places in time and worlds, far-fetched as it may be.

If we assume there are multiple worlds, more oddities line up with the truth. And such theories exist on my world, as well.

Then it brings us to the nature of our captors and this place. Is this their world? They seem fragmented, based on their message - but why? Do they not get along well enough to present a unified front?

Though they are at least marginally attempting to be welcoming.

I could come up with many scenarios to explain away those details, but they would all lack any evidence to back them.

At most, we know that we cannot find a way to leave -- and even if we found a way, where would we go? Can we return to our original lands? There's no way to be certain, so we're forced to wait until the status quo changes.

... I'm sure for many of us it will be frustrating, but it'd work to our benefit to take advantage of any shelter and food.

Shelter, food, useful items... We can go see what's in the forest, and if there's anything that could be useful for calming teas or medicine, should anyone start to feel anxious or unwell.

Some seem rather optimistic that our hosts are friendly - but it's for the best if we prepare as if they are not.
