WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. [ Kano sets another frog on top of her face, carefully handhovering on either side of it so he can keep it balanced. ]

[ she yelps in surprise, flails a little, and rolls off of her frog to fall on the pavement. after a groan, she sits up, rubbing the back of her head, and smiles apologetically at kano. ]

Sorry, you surprised me.

[ His hands fly up out of the way when Ochako cries out, and his frog rolls off too, plopping on her face before rolling away... Kano runs after it, scooping it up and squashing it under an arm. ]

Haha, wow! What a reaction! Hey, hey, that wasn't a real nasty spill, was it? Didn't bump your head too hard?

[ she laughs sheepishly. ]

No, I'm fine! If I couldn't handle a fall like that, I wouldn't be much of a hero, would I?

Yeah, I do! My quirk's great for that! You can't fall on your head in zero gravity!

I mean, like, you can still probably bump your head? But it wouldn't be "falling," technically?

[ that question makes her pause, though. ]

Quirks aren't something you can learn. It's a genetic thing, you know? I could show you, but we're not supposed to use our quirks outside of class or hero work...

[ she peers around them. weird castle, random buildings and people, some weird message about how they definitely haven't been kidnapped from people who didn't even introduce themselves... surely this counts as an emergency? ]

[ UNSURE... but she does press her fingertips together before reaching out to gently touch kano with them.

Huh. It's not working. So they must have a way to suppress quirks here, like Aizawa-sensei.

[ It sure is an emergency and if anybody needs a hero, it's all of them right now.

When Ochako reaches out to touch Kano, he flinches violently even though he saw it coming, even though he forces himself to stay still, leaning forward right after like he can pass that motion off as something else. ]

Superpower suppression, huh? That's too bad, how inconvenient! It might just be an area thing? Like, inside this dome?

[ she does see that - but since kano is acting like nothing happened, so will she. ]

Mm, could be. But that really does make it seem like we were kidnapped, huh? Otherwise, why bother?

Yeah, right? Sure looks like a kidnapping! Wonder what they want, though?

[ Especially with a super normal kid like him? He can think of maybe one person who wants him out of the way, but that could so easily be done with a knife, no need for all of this.

He picks up his frog plush, though, and tosses it up in the air to throw and catch. ]

Are you, like, a super important super hero? What'll they get removing you from the picture?

No idea... I'm not a pro-hero yet, so it's not like I'm that well-known or anything.

[ she puffs out her cheeks for a moment. ]

This kind of thing has been happening a lot at my school this year, but that's mostly just to get to All Might. And I think I'm the only one from UA here, so that can't be it

Aw, but that just means the kidnappers know you're real pro-hero material, right? Evil villains trying to nip the threat in the bud, I'd go for the most promising hereos too!

Well, no, not me. We usually just get attacked?

Ahaha, I don't know about that... [ laughs sheepishly. ] I guess I did help with a big mission, but I didn't play that big a part in it. I'm not even at the top of the class or anything. But if we really were kidnapped, maybe I'll be able to help everyone somehow.

[ He's about to say something about not everybody being the hero, but that's sort of the opposite of the point, huh. ]

I bet you'd be a huge help! What sorta things are you good at, miss heroine? Like, how's your throwing arm?

Exactly! You don't always need a quirk to be able to help someone.

Hmmm... It's better with my quirk, but not bad. I was training to be a support and rescue type hero, but I trained under Gunhead, so I know some martial arts that could help protect someone, if it comes to a fight.

[ there's a pause as she remembers something ]

Oh! And my name's Ochako - Ochako Uraraka.

[suddenlybees]

[ That sure is some whiplash hearing "support and rescue" and then immediately "Gunhead" ]

[ Introductions?? no....... Kano reaches into his pocket and hands Ochako a rock. Not a galaxy rock, but a normal rock you'd find off the side of the road. ]

[ she'll... take the rock? i guess? she's a bit confused by it, but she doesn't question it. ]

Everyone's got some talent, though. You just have to find it.
