WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. Not really? You can drink coffee if you're not tired. Sometimes it's just nice to have a warm drink.

Yeah, but then it's all bitter? Like, you'd be better off with just hot milk and sugar. Or is this, like an adult thing?

Probably. I didn't like it when I was younger either. Your taste buds change as you age though, so who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy it in a few years.

You could try some cocoa, if you wanted a hot drink anyway.

Huh, maybe. If I make it there, yeah! Sure! I'm not too much of a cocoa drinker either, but how are you are making tea? Can you do it so it's not too bitter? I've got the bags!

Tea's fine. You just have to soak the tea bags for less time to avoid it being bitter, right?

[ Speaking of blood, Kano pulls out his bloody tea bags and slaps them down on the counter. ]

[ He is ready and willing but very bad at it. By the end of thirty seconds his arms are just draped over the counter like a lounging cat. Kid shuts down when there's no conversation going on. ]

It has to seep and then it's done. [ ... ] But it'll be hot, so don't just chug it when it's ready.
