WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. [ he is digging his tiny sharp rodent paws in. it might not get him his stuff back but it IS supremely annoying, which is as much revenge as he can get. ]

[ it takes him a bit to notice where kano is going but pikachu knows what a river is and can recognize an insane person when he sees one, which is to say, he waits at the last possible second before jumping off safely on land as he watches him go. ]

[ man he kind of hopes the kid can swim. that would be a very tragic death. ]

[ Can Kano swim? idk. no. He's got so much junk in his pockets to weight himself down, curled up over his hoodie bundle so that he's face down in the water and floating down the river not moving otherwise, good bye, is this how he frees himself from the mouse ]

[ uh. well. that seems worrying. pikachu goes up the bridge and just starts screaming for help? THIS KID IS DROWNING? ]

[ why is no one coming to help. people are so cruel. ]

[ Kano floats peacefully leftwards. Nobody is coming to his aid. Maybe they hear Pikachu. Maybe nobody cares.

I hope he makes it the whole length of the river until he bumps into the barrier and still there's nobody. ]

[ pikachu watches him go and, since no one is coming to their aid

he sadly takes off his hat to hold it to his chest ]

Pipipipi... pipipipipipipiiii...

[ is he singing the funeral march. ]

[ Oh, this is nice. He gets a last song and everything. It's also nice because he can hear this weird yellow mouse pipipi at him and he refuses to move until he hears it stop. If there is one thing he's good at, it's lying still and playing dead, lots of practice doing this one. ]

[pikaffeine]

[ pikachu goes to get a flower from the grounds and throws it into the water once his song is over. rest in piece, kid. you were weird and stole from him and he has no idea who you are, but you still died. this pokemon movie is dark. ]

[suddenlybees]

[ The flower drifts down the river and eventually reaches Kano, tickling his ear and an arm reaches out of the water to grasp the flower and shove it into his hoodie bundle pocket. Kano resumes playing dead. ]

[ GASP. MOVEMENT.

THIS KID IS ALIVE OH WOW WHO COULD HAVE KNOWN ??? wait. if he died and now he's alive that can only mean one thing. ]

[ oh my god he's a zombie run for your lives. pikachu ran away ]

[ It's his win... even though he stays like this for another five minutes before pulling his head out of the water. Does he get to keep Pikachu's things? What can I add to Kano's inventory, Zia, I want at least a fourth condom. ]
