WEEK THREE: REMOVAL
WEEK THREE: REMOVAL (32 remain) Time to wake up, participants of the Realm. At 8am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS. go to the savanna at 9. yes we checked for scalpels and/or other stabby items. Even if the participants ignore the message (or are sleeping in, shame on them), as 9am approaches they will fall victim to a compulsion to head to the specified location. Three Leaders, Swan, Goat, and Tiger, are already present, Emet-Selch with them. Goat speaks. "... It is time. May peace come quickly." Once they finish speaking, an alert goes off from a PHS in the crowd—specifically, Hansa's. Their PHS displays a simple message. You have ̶been select͘ed͞. Regardless of their will, they will feel compelled to walk towards the scene. No other participant will be able to interfere; should they try, a barrier blocks their way. |

until emet-selch speaks, and that hand against the barrier curls into a fist bitterly.]

But this time, once she manages to find him (don't ask me how I do not know), she steps closer--and leans against his shoulder a little, very lightly.
The words are hard to hear, but she can't argue them.]
no subject
but the contact seems to bring him back into the present, a sigh escaping him as he glances back toward her.... before letting an arm loop around her shoulders, as if trying to ground her and himself in the same moment.]

It's good tho, she will lean into his arm and side quietly, her eyes closed as she listens to everything Emet-Selch has to say.]
no subject
because you tagged back and because ange is leaning into his side - she might be able to notice the tension in his body that, despite all the smiles and soft touches, reveals that he might very well snap the moment that hansa takes emet-selch's hand.
it's not going to do anything, he knows, but he raises his voice:]
Hansa.
[while it is largely stern - there is a tremor of worry laced in the words.
he opens his mouth as if to say more - but doesn't quite make it, instead pursing his lips into a thin line.]

She tenses when Soo-won does, but just presses against him more, lifting an arm to offer him a proper one-armed hug.
She can't do anything else here. They can only wait and see what happens.]
no subject
the arm around him surprises him - and the only reason he does not tense more is perhaps because he physically cannot - but he'll. sigh. and watch. and listen.
and.... rest part of his weight just a little bit more against her, so she can feel like she's supporting him too.]

before he turns back to face forward and acknowledge what they've done or failed to do]

though the longer it goes on, as gay grandpa drama happens and everyone worries after hansa, zuko will probably feel the way that soo-won is so terribly tense.
he makes a conscious point to keep his hand atop zuko's gentle and relaxed.]

and soo-won just. brings one hand up to cover his own face before resting his head against zuko's shoulder, obscuring his expression.
he's tired.]

'I'm alright. Thank you.'
and he'll drop one of his hands from either zuko or ange to briefly rest it on taako's arm before pulling away again]

We live with our mistakes and our successes both.
[before facing forward again]
no subject
We will.
no subject
but his expression softens a bit at that - even as he glances to hansa and emet-selch. there's no denying who is pulling the weight of this particular mistake.]
.... Hansa could stand to be a bit less stubborn.
no subject
[He can't blame someone for being emotional, being in this situation.]
no subject
his frown deepens as hansa ultimately shoves emet off.
and so soo-won continues to watch, as if almost waiting for this to end.]

he's not going to look at yona - not for a moment. before he does glance in her direction and gives her a face that is more put together than what he's offered others, grateful - but more resolute.
he said he'd try to rely on her.
he's not good at it.
but he's trying.]
no subject
no i'm kidding she does glance his way and is glad that others are looking out for him ]
no subject
but he'll only glance in her direction after she's already looked away, something grateful, fond, and admonished.
back to gay dads execution]
