WEEK FOUR: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your fifth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [Well. Izumo seems to have the lobby covered and Ange does not even twitch at Dorothy's words, so she just continues to wander to poke her head into the bathroom down here. Less walking for Dorothy, maybe, probably.

Anything look immediately off? Everyone has yelled about ceilings enough that Ange will look up as well just in case.]

[ Dorothy loves walking, okay.

Which is why she's (silently) heading for the dining room to see what can be found. ]

[ The bathroom looks normal! The bathroom ceiling also looks normal. Nothing seems out of place in there. It is clean. Thank god.

The dining room has a few leftover cupcakes ... ... that are unrelated to murder, not that Dorothy knows this, but I'll spoil it. There is also baking soda in a pan with burnt eggs. Something happened here. Something... curfew post related.

Nothing seems immediately out of place on or under the desk, though the memory book seems a little askew. ]

she'll check out the memory book and see if anyone else has written in the thing? or if there's anything on the outside? depending on what that yields, she might take a closer look at the couches. ]

Anyway, just to do her due diligence, Ange is checking each of the bathroom stalls and also under the sinks.

[ Dorothy is snagging a cupcake as Evidence. And also because being spoopy wreaks havoc on the appetite and who says you can't have cupcakes for breakfast--

But that being said, to the kitchen!! Please don't let dead bodies be in the kitchen. ]

[ There's... nothing in the kitchen... and nothing in the stalls or under the sinks. Ange and Dorothy are having a good time.

Izumo might notice that the first page of the book with the instructions has gone missing. And by missing, I mean it was clearly ripped out. There's nothing else new with the book. ]

[ okay. that's.... hmmm.

izumo will take a closer look at the papers on the desk; does anything else look astray? any hint that maybe someone took other paper? ]

[Listen... Ange is happy to have found nothing. She's satisfied by the sparkly clean bathroom and turns to leave. Izuko is still poking around in the lobby, and Dorothy is poking around the kitchen, sooo... to the second floor?

Anything off with the stairs as she starts to head on up?]

[ Dorothy's checking cabinets and the closets and the oven just to be sure-- but Ange is going to have to handle the stairs herself, sorry. She's over stairs.

She's just here to be pretty in this investigation I guess!! ]

[ There's nothing else out of place on the desk! It looks like someone just took that paper and nothing else. Wow. What a mystery.

On the stairs, there is...............half a cupcake. it looks like it was split and then left untouched. what could it possibly mean

There's nothing in the cabinets, closets, or oven! Dorothy is always there to be pretty. She is just so pretty. All three girls should just grab cupcakes and have a party tbh ]

[ partying while there are dead people seems a bit... unsightly.

either way, that's a mystery and very strange, and since the mods keep ignoring my desire to examine the couches, I guess she'll meander over towards ange. ]

Did you find anything yet? All I've found so far is that someone ripped out the instructions for that memory book.

[Izumo meanders over while Ange is peering at that cupcake as if it's a snake that's going to bite her.

She does not react to her words... at all. But then she straightens from the cupcake, leaving it there because she is Afraid to Touch, and turns to see Izumo right there and squeaks and jumps back with a hand pressed to her chest.

oh my god.

... Okay it's just Izumo. Wheeze.

Ange is helpful this investigation.]

Miss Izumo...? [She says this way too loudly. That is not her inside voice.]

[ No, they're trying to solve a mystery!! So out of the kitchen she goes to rejoin the others and...

Huh. Well, actually, that explains a lot about Ange's weird silence and so Dorothy points up the stairs. And, loudly-- ]

Should we keep going up, spoopy???

[ the cupcake looks like all the other leftover cupcakes. please don't get hung up on cupcakes in trial, jan will kill me.

ALSO IZUMO CAN CHECK THE COUCHES I MISSED IT in over or under, there's nothing near the couches!

and then dorothy and izumo give ange a heart attack ]

Oh, those were the cupcakes that Wolf was eating.

but she's totally unfazed and doesn't apologize for startling ange because...well?? who else did she think would sneak up on her? it's fine. but when dorothy call out, she'll reply in turn: ]

Did you find anything interesting in there aside from cupcakes?

[She definitely does not hear the first bit, but the rest is loud enough for her to grasp.

She just points upstairs.]

I... still haven't checked up there. I didn't see anything else. [Time to start heading up??]

[ She hates this.

And she turns her gaze up the stairs and hates it even more. And with a bravado of a mighty warrior and also having to raise her voice even more because apparently Ange only heard the most annoying part-- ]

UP WE GO, SPOOPY!

[ Ange will probably beat her there and Izumo but it's fine. ]

spoopy scawy skewetons are not upstairs! There doesn't seem to be anything out of place for Ange to see. Only to hear, because spoopy.

Dorothy watch out, Ange didn't pick up the cupcake and it's immediately in the way in the stairs for people who have a fucked up leg.

i guess she'll be responsible and pick up the cupcake that was discarded on the stairs because someone should think of our crippled. though i have no idea what she's going to do with half of a cupcake.

[Apparently, there's nothing upstairs but Ange pokes around all of the crevices and around the doors anyway. It's not like they can get in any of them but their own but.

Gotta look around?? She just gives Izumo an apologetic shrug.

And as she does, she yells down:]

Please... do not come up here, Miss Dorothy!

[STAY DOWNSTAIRS, BROKEN LEG LADY.]

[ Oh. Okay. No stairs for Dorothy. ]

THERE BETTER NOT BE A BODY UP THERE, YOUNG LADY SPOOPY!!

[ Lord what even is there to check still, can she go slowly investigate the washer and dryer or does that not count as Inn-- ]

[ This mod will be nice and tell you to reread the very first comment they gave you, but sure, Dorothy can check the the washer and dryer to find a lot of nothing. Maybe some dryer lint.

There's nothing in any of the nooks and crannies upstairs either! Wow. ]

Anyway, obediently Ange heads back on downstairs, whispering in mystification:]

There's an alligator...? [She Did Not Hear apparently.

But once she's downstairs, uh.

Has anyone poked at the computer yet, she'll do that if not, even though she doesn't know what a computer is.]
