WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [Al had been posting up to, I dunno, restrain it somehow, but if it's not an immediate threat he'll just make sure he's positioned between it and the other two

then, in a bright, clear singing voice:]

[not a public singer, he covers his mouth for a moment, but then quickly goes back to ready pose

does the dino have anything in it's mouth? or any blood on it from injuries or, well, otherwise?]

[ he starts to call, too loudly - ]

Sora, I found -- oh. [ oh, sora's here. he comes out of the trash can in a fluff of fancy dress fabric; xie lian looks grim as he stoops down towards its tiny little dinosaur body. ]

...A dinosaur - it's the same one that I have... [ and then, suddenly, in realization. ] It's Miss Elsa's.

[ uh oh.

actually, is the shawl burnt beyond all recognition? or would it be recognized by someone who had seen it before... like the shawl elsa had, ] There's more things in the trash can as well - clothing that's been damaged. A shawl that's been burnt, and some gloves that are bloodied.

...We should keep looking. And... I'll get a cloth to wrap up the creature, so we can give it a proper burial instead of this.

[ are there any bloody fingerprints on the trash can lid? any dinosaur blood from dino murder? anything else weird in the kitchen? ]

[ alex has immediately gone quite pale, and starts scanning the area. ]

[ she's looking for any sign of a life other than the dinosaur, anything else that stands out - objects, blood, something like a body, she'll take anything right now. ]

[ the singing would be lovely if she didn't sound scared right now. ]

[ No blood, and nothing else is off at a glance. ]

[ Lup will see areas of red that may or may not be blood on lower spires (but who knows, it could just be ketchup), and something higher up on a tower that's hard to make out.

Zuko examines the blood in more detail but finds nothing because the last tag was all the details we had to give, unfortunately.

The imprint is on the smaller side, relatively speaking. ]

there's a tiny version of a raptor running around screeching somewhere behind it. i guess. you're getting this. ]

[oh. that sure is a headless dinosaur, and sora looks at it before he. swoons? he nearly knocks into the trashcan but catches himself on the wall before looking annoyed. following behind him is the small meow wow creature that looks a little uncertain.

sora's going to look in the garbage, too.]

...I wonder if the clothing was hers, too. But the dinosaur...why put it here? [yikes!] Let's take it. It might be evidence but...if not, we can bury it.

We should check under the couches and stuff, and maybe upstairs. Do you know where Elsa was staying last night?

[ she sounds a little dizzy, actually: ] Definitely not a bit.

[ ... ] Uh, there's - something on the castle? Possibly could be nail polish, but we should make sure.

... Zuko, when is the last time you showered.

Anyway if it has mouth reach I guess they need to uh, not get chomped? I deadass don't now what they're supposed to do besides retreat if it's thrashing about, though Chiron will see that raptor and make a startled noise.

He wants to catch the baby so excuse him as he risks life and limb for a very dumb reason.]

--Sora?! [ he's immediately going to try and help, and just looks very confused?! his qilin is all poofed up, its feathers puffy as it starts trying to fuss at him immediately.

[ okay. well. since sora seems fine, off we go!! he will return to grab the dinosaur when they're done exploring. ] ...I'll take the stairs.

[ and off he goes, picking up his dress skirts to go do a sweep of the stairs and up to the second floor while sora checks the couches. ]

[Gently removing the fur stole he’s been wearing from around his neck - the mongoose who seems a little irritated to have been woken up - holding it up under the elbows. Like a child holds a kitty cat. It doesn’t seem too bothered by this.]

Mm. Nope! No mongoose wings.

[Going over to check out the tower? Is it climbable? Are there stairs inside we’ve just missed.]

[ Sora finds garbage in the garbage can. If he checks the couches, he finds nothing there either.

Xie Lian doesn't find anything on the stairs up to the second floor. ]

[seeing Chiron rush forward to risk all six of his limbs, Alphonse is of course going to dash after and see if he can draw its attention]

I can probably hold it while you get by! But are we just trying to calm it down or stop it?

[he turns back to Alex really quick]

If you see a way to safely get by, go!

[ well please assume she's just run somewhere that's safe because i got nothing. while she's running for safety can she see anything?

nothing with the couches? hm...okay. he will open the elevator door to make sure there's nothing inside before riding it up to the second floor. that's it, that's his contribution while xl takes the stairs. they can meet upstairs.]

[ There are no stairs, but it looks like it's possible for someone to theoretically scale the castle walls if they're good at climbing. ]

[ i keep fucking forgetting we have an elevator!!!

anyway, let's do a sweep around the second floor, and check near elsa's room, just in case. anything weird? also the ceiling. what's on the ceiling. ]

lup's weasel is asleep on the turtleduck's back. ]

Nope. Can yours fly? Or - do, uh - can we just yell for Swan? [ or climb this castle ig, she... can attempt it. ]

[ The dinosaur does not seem to be paying much attention to Chiron or the baby raptor, at least? Though the glint on Al's armor is very distracting and it trashes a little

Chiron runs after and successfully corners the baby raptor, because if anything happened to the babies i'd be sad. Also to make up for alcoholic baby.

Alex will see that there's disturbed dirt near a tree while she runs away, like something was buried there...? ]

[ Well, Elsa's doorframe is splintered, and the door itself is off its hinges, so there's that.

There are also bloody footprints on the floor. Nothing on the ceiling, though! ]
