WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [ Well, Elsa's doorframe is splintered, and the door itself is off its hinges, so there's that.

There are also bloody footprints on the floor. Nothing on the ceiling, though! ]

[UM. well it's not like it's hard to notice so...he will join xie lian by the door!]

Guess that answers where she stayed last night. [he glances at the footprints and then heads into the room.] Stick close.

[do the footprints like like they're entering or exiting the room though? also CAN they even go into the room? they're gonna try.]

xie lian will indeed check his foot against the size of the footprints. bigger or smaller than his? for feetie check reference tmrw

and then, also, the damage on the doorframe. does it splinter outwards like something too big tried to go through it, or was the splintering from just the door coming off? is the phs reader/handle still attached or is that also really damaged? ]

Do you think the damage could be from the dinosaur...?

[ The footprints look like they start from a window and lead towards the section where the vacant rooms are before fading away.

From the door coming off, probably. The door itself is also splintered, though. The PHS reader is fine. On the other hand, the door is not attached to the doorframe anymore, they can go in... but you'll have to describe your exact movements if you do. ]

okay that's not at all alarming, but given that sora's taking a step into the room, he's checking first for anything attached to the door itself and the ceiling above it before he begins to walk toward the center.

and because i have gotten lazy describing it, sora does have his usual sword with him because sometimes that's just how your game model goes. what's the state of the rooms...?]

Maybe...? How big were those things supposed to get?

i mean uh. xie lian will follow behind sora once he's done checking the feets and takes a step to the right, staying nearby but taking a couple steps towards the beds.... ]

I don't know...I haven't asked mine to get large, but I can tomorrow if it's necessary.

[ what's the damage. is there a dino in the middle of the room. ]

[ Belatedly, the footprints looked smaller than Xie Lian's feet.

A question: how exactly are they walking? Not in terms of where they're walking, but how?

In any case, the room is a mess! Furniture has been upturned and damaged. ]

[um??? sora's walking fairly normally, not exactly quickly but at a normal pace.]

We can probably guess everything started here. [hm. he'll keep walking to see if he can find anything hidden under some of the damaged furniture.]

I think you're right. The question is only who and how.

[ what all has been upturned? all of it? is there random stuff open? is the fancy ass bed flipped? ]

Random furniture has been upturned, though the bed is not one of them. It's still upright. ]

Right. [every tag i grow more scared. uh. he'll check the table/chairs and also the wardrobes.]

Check under the bed and under the covers maybe? Fireplace, too. We can also check the bathroom just to make sure.

[ the lack of answers about how we're stepping is terrifying me.

he strips the bed just to be sure, and checks under the bed, as well as around both nightstands. have they also been flipped? he'll check under them and around them. what about the curtains behind the bed? anything bizarre?

and also the fireplace!!! ]

[ The tables and chairs are overturned and damaged. In the wardrobe, Sora finds an RSVP.

Sure, the nightstands have been flipped. Nothing happens when he strips the bed. The curtains are normal. The fireplace is normal.

However, under the bed is a blue salamander, holding a doll. Given that Xie Lian is apparently nyooming all over the place, though, it retrieves back further under the bed, away from him. ]

[...his rsvp now. can he read what it says? or if it's been used and what have you? he doesn't know what xie lian's doing so he'll let him deal with the bed. no secretly bloody outfits or anything in the wardrobe? can he open the second one or is that your way of telling me to stop looking at stuff?

he'll also make his way to the bathroom to check out the interior, swaying a little on his feet as he goes. xie lian can deal with the baby.]

[ thankfully he at least knows the baby!!!

spotting him, xie lian settles down on his knees besides the bed and holds out both of his hands cupped towards bruni. he liked mleming him the last few times...maybe his gentle disney princess nature will help soothe him so he'll come out. ]

Bruni... Bruni, come here, it's Xie Lian. You remember me, right....? Dear little fire spirit...?

[ The RSVP doesn't have any names, but it doesn't have the note that explains what it does. In the other wardrobe, Sora finds Homura's stuff, maybe.

Nothing looks out of place at the bathroom at a glance.

Bruni looks reluctant for a moment, but now that Xie Lian isn't whooshing around, he slowly approaches, still holding the doll. ]

[...well. the rsvp is his anyway, he'll figure it out. homura's stuff is fine, but he walks further into the bathroom, doing the very obvious and checking the sinks and also inside the tub for, idk, blood? elsa's body? whatever! are there cabinets? he will open the cabinets to see if anything's inside or if anything's missing.]

Who's Bruni? [this is just loud enough for xie lian to hear but not loud enough to scare the baby.]

He's the fire elemental spirit from Miss Elsa's realm. [ just as quietly!

he continues to coax bruni in a soft, gentle voice. pspspspsps. xie lian will let bruni come all the way to his hands, before he carefully scoops him up! ]

There you are. It's okay, you're safe now... [ and while he's disney princess-ing he will try to get a proper look at the doll. what's he got. ]

[ Sora finds nothing.

Bruni is still holding onto the doll, but from what Xie Lian can see, it looks like a doll of Anna, if Xie Lian knows who that is. ]

[reconnective]

[dumb. well if there's nothing he'll wander back out and just kind of blink softly at xie lian holding a lizard and a doll.]

Anna? [hm. wait. how does he know that again...? either way, he looks at this fire spirit for a brief moment.] Is he okay? He's not hurt, right?

[...the nightstands were flipped, but is there anything in them? are these the kind with drawers? he will look.]

[ xie lian strokes his fingers over the top of bruni's head. ]

...No, I don't think so. [ no monster besides flurry would hurt the salamander right. is bruni ok. i went back to read my last bruni thread and apparently he's a hot salamander so i hope he lights on fire.

anyway. ] The doll was hers too, then, yes...? Perhaps he was frightened in the struggle...

[ Sora maybe finds more of Homura's stuff?

Bruni looks uninjured! Just holding onto the doll. ]

I would be too if people barged in when I thought I was safe. [ugh...] We can always look some more tomorrow, but chances are Elsa either ran, or somebody moved her body after she was killed.

[dianxias]

Let's gather the evidence that we've found so we can take it to the Leaders.

[ he gives bruni a stroke on the top of his head with his fingertips as he starts to stand. it does not look good for miss elsa. ]

...I can hold onto Bruni. Hopefully, he'll stay with me.

[ Bruni just sadly chills with Xie Lian and the Anna doll. ]
