WEEK SIX: MINGLE

WEEK SIX: MINGLE (25 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Elsa, Yona, Shigeo, and Fiora's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Also, anyone who had been poisoned during trial will still be feeling sick! Haha! Finally, participants will find that they are now sporting a new injury. This injury is one that they received in their past, whether they remember it or not. No matter how fatal the injury is, participants won't die from it, and the pain they feel will be dulled down. However, if another participant touches someone's injury effect, even if it's covered, then they will both be hit with whatever pain that was felt when the injury was first inflicted. This pain will last ten seconds. The injury can also be as minor or major as desired.

[ rabbit can be found looking through the books in the storybook shop, wandering around the town, or just. exploring the northern area. look at those giant stuffed animal prizes, wow. ]

[ Wolf is hanging around town, the pier or the pool hall this week! If it's Monday, they look a little tired, but they're fine the rest of the week. Yay. ]

[ so it's Monday, and you all probably still feel like Shit as you shuffle off to the plaza after that rude text. There's a large circle on the ground in the plaza made out of tape when they get there and also Wolf is there?

They wait until everyone is here to speak up, though; ]

Everyone stand in the circle. I don't care that you might have to huddle up closer than you're comfortable with, just do it. [ and once that's done and everyone is in the circle... Wolf will raise one hand and a soft green glow will fall over everyone, as well as a cleansing feeling...? They will suddenly feel a lot better. All effects of poison are gone!! ]

There. That should do it.

A: FOREST

[Hansa is hanging in the forest! It might actually be hard to see him, though, since he's not leaning against a tree or anything. In fact...he's up a tree, just sitting. If you spot him, you already might notice something off with him - he doesn't have his eyepatch on. The eye(!) glitters in the light and swivels around, for it is, in fact, a crystal inlaid in a cybernetic eye.]

[If he notices someone approach, though, he'll tense up, frowning down at them. He won't say a word at first, though - he just stares for a very long time. If nothing happens, he'll just say, gruffly:]

...What do you want?

B: FAIR STALLS

[Later, Hansa, with his cool cyborg eye and all, can be found just sitting in one of the stalls, just...completely going ham on these corn dogs. Wow. Some cotton candy too! Please make him stop, isn't he going to get sick from all of this...?]

[But once again, if someone approaches, he'll tense, grabbing some of this fair food and just. Moving away before he continues to chomp down on it. Weird.]

[ She gives them a breather until Tuesday. Then here she is, the crutch wonder with a gash on her temple, beaming. ]

i. reef

[ beach, beach, beach! alex can be found sat on the pier. she's got a swimsuit on but she's covering it with an oversized fairground t-shirt. her right hand looks oddly scuffed up though -- there are bruises on the fingers, and scratch marks like someone dug their nails into her hand, or scrabbled against her hold.

she seems to be looking out into the water, trying to get a glimpse of the sealife mingling around the reef, legs dangling in the water--

-- until she suddenly pulls them up and out of the sea very quickly and very suddenly. ]

Was that a shark?

ii. story book shop

[ in the bookshop, she's wearing that same over-sized t-shirt, tied in a knot at her side so it's a little less big and a pair of jean shorts, and seems to have settled herself in the corner of the store with the sign language book she found here a few weeks ago.

she's reading through, mimicking the signs with her hands and looking progressively more relieved as time goes by. ]

the furrow of his brow isn't visible behind his mask, but the frown is. there also seems to be a faint blue glow showing through his clothes, somewhere around the midsection? huh.]

[Hansa swings his legs over the branch, but doesn't go down just yet. He glances at the glow in the other's torso, and gestures at him.]

...Why are you glowing?

[His tension definitely eases a bit when he sees her, but he's still just. Definitely sitting up there.]

[He huffs, shaking his head.]

I. the inn

[ We haven't even made it out of the damn town yet before something is very clearly wrong. Hua Cheng is still dressing more loosely, his left sleeve pinned to his shoulder for his red red robes. After Wolf heals them of their poisoning, he's returning to go and actually rummage through his things - but the problem is, he's very clearly and very freely bleeding from an injury on his face.

From under his eyepatch.

He's mostly ignoring it, but he does reach up to try and brush the heel of his hand against the wet spot with a soft tch when it comes away even more red than his robes. With his 24/7 state of pain from his arm, this is just a dull background pain, so he's just. Trucking along, going towards the restrooms to maybe grab something to clean himself up with. ]

II. the boardwalk

[ Well once that's been taken care of - he's still mcfucking bleeding, but whaddya gonna do - and he's gotten some bandages and gauze pads tucked under his eyepatch, he's checking out the new location! This all reminds him of Ghost City, so he's honestly just vibing, despite the fact that he know he's going to have to change his bandages to deal with the horror show that is his (still hidden) eye.

But it's as he's checking out a stall that anyone in the area might hear a rare, startled noise coming out of Hua Cheng.

That would be because, all of a sudden, his hair? Goes from being almost six feet long to being seventy feet, taking up a huge portion of the boardwalk after it basically just - explodes everywhere from his head.

The good news is, the frayed and frazzled bits are gone, and so is the four foot chunk! The bad news is, what the fuck is he supposed to do with seventy feet of hair? ]

III. boardwalk bonus

[ Do you want to come hang out with Hua Cheng and Xie Lian? They've found a corner of the boardwalk near the shops to sit down, and Xie Lian is currently apologizing profusely as he brushes out Hua Cheng's hair. All, again, seventy feet of it. ]

I wasn't expecting it to be this long, San Lang, I'm sorry...

Gege, it's fine, really. I appreciate what you were doing.
