WEEK SIX: REMOVAL
WEEK SIX: REMOVAL (22 remain) Time to wake up, participants of the Realm. At 8am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS. Please be at the ocean by nine. Even if the participants ignore the message (or are sleeping in, shame on them), as 9am approaches they will fall victim to a compulsion to head to the specified location. Three Leaders, Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox, are already present, Dorothy with them. Fox speaks. "... It's time. I'm sorry." Once they finish speaking, an alert goes off from a PHS in the crowd—specifically, Ange's. You know what to do. Regardless of their will, they will feel compelled to walk towards the scene. No other participant will be able to interfere; should they try, a barrier blocks their way. |

EXECUTION
There are also boats and jet skis for the rest of the crowd to get on and follow after them, though the barrier will still prevent them from interfering. ]

There's a metal ball hanging from her wrist by a chain.
She's silent, still, as they come to a stop in the middle of the ocean, and then...she sighs, closing her good eye.]
... This is ridiculous.
[She turns to look at Dorothy, and then reaches across the waves to offer her her hand in a handshake.]
But as promised.

Dorothy has also been silent this whole time and does not look back at any of the spectators. When the jet skis finally stop, she glances down at the weight, then down at the waves.
Well, this will be annoying. ]
As promised, [ she echoes, and reaches out to clasp Ange's hand firmly. ]
I'm a bit irritated that they've chosen you for this, but this is my final order to you.
Do what you need to.
no subject
... Understood.
[That's the last thing she says. Then she reaches for the metal ball at her wrist, screwing off the top and taking out a knife. Deliberately, Ange re-screws the lid back onto the ball, and lets it fall so it dangles from her wrist again.
And then, without a moment's hesitation, she straightens her shoulders, turns to face Dorothy, and slashes the knife right across her throat. It's a difficult strike across the water with the waves beneath them; Dorothy may not be quite dead, Ange isn't sure. But it is too late now. She's committed, and the execution has to happen.
In the same motion, with her other hand, she reaches out--and shoves Dorothy right into the water with all her strength, ball and chain and all.
Ange drops the bloody knife into the water silently.]

Jeanne would never think that, but she comes to stand near him, too. She holds out a hand in his field of view, palm up.
She doesn't expect him to take it, but she will keep her hand offered the entire time they're there. ]

Ah, really? Jetskis?
Seems like sort of a stretch.
But I'm not in charge.

but she does, in fact, go with him on the jetski, curled up behind him with her arms around his waist, head on his shoulder as she watches. she's careful to not touch his neck, this time. she's upset, especially when ange is called, but: ]

do you know how terrible it is to feel jealous of the executioner?
for the moment, he's sitting at the bow of his boat, with his face buried in his hands. he can't make dorothy feel worse before her death by being near anyone else, and he can't watch, either, or else that stupid curse will start making him feel jealous and it's so completely wrong. ]
no subject
that could happen?
it's. it's good. that she can go out on her own terms - and that ange and dorothy both refused to play along with the charade that these executions always tend to be.
