WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! [he walks over and places his hands on the door, considering it for a moment before turning back]

Hey why are you trying so hard to get in here, anyway? What is this building? [he doesn't necessarily want to abet in a crime or anything!]

[she stands back obligingly! but, to answer his question - ]

I don't know. [yona please.] But, we don't have much in terms of answers about how we ended up here or how to get home, and if it's locked, that means they probably don't want us seeing what's in there. So, it might be important.

[suddenly, and very dramatically, he claps his big armored hands together in front of his chest and thrusts them onto the door

his body sags in disappointment

[yona just kind of stares at him for a few long moments]

...I was kind of expecting you to crash into it, but that's a good effort.

[he turns around, his tone embarrassed and insistent]

[looking back up at the tower, taking in it properly for the first time]

And there's definitely something...different about this building in particular. It doesn't match anything else and there's no windows or anything.

...that's true. Usually people want to let the light in, so why would they build it without windows?

Well, when I was watching you attack the door it didn't look like there was any give. And the colored paper that came out was...weird.

Are you a good climber? I could probably throw you most of the way up and you could get to the roof.

Yeah! [he nods, then posts up with his back to the door, forming a sling with his linked hands, ready to throw her up as high as he can when she jumps in]

[yona is not at all worried about this. she eyes the sling made by his linked hands, and then backs up so that she can get a running start before jumping in.

[with a well practiced motion, as soon as her foot hits his clasped hands he throws her up, using his legs and back for extra leverage

[after a moment or two, she calls down:]

I'm okay... but I can't see any way to get in from up here.

Is there anything at all up there?

[he begins to walk in a careful circle around the Planetarium, running his hand along it as he examines for anything out of place

he doesn't say that he's doing this, so looking down into the street it would seem he's disappeared]

...it looks like it's just a roof...

[she peeks over the side and--

did he leave? is she just stuck here now? do i need to retcon all my future threads and just say she's shouting down at people from the roof? a mystery.]

[his voice pops back up from the rear side as he calls out]

I don't see anything around the walls, either!

[looking up at the noticeable lack of ladders or ledges]

[another pause, some footsteps, and then... yona peeks out over the side of the roof.]
