WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

[Someone seemed to have taken the second flyer a bit seriously, because here is Hansa in a very different outfit. Looks like this was the second outfit he had besides his usual black one! Huh.]

[His hair is tied back in a ponytail like before in the scavenger hunt, and for some reason, his usual cheerfully talkative demeanor is more subdued. In fact, he seems mildly disgruntled, rubbing at his forehead with a sigh at times as he goes around the feast.]

[Try to approach him, though, and he'll turn towards you, raising his glass of champagne with a light smile.]

Give a toast. [A short huff.] I can't think of one right at the moment. Really not that creative.

[After drinking some champagne, one can find him sitting at the edge of the dance floor, just doing some people-watching. Maybe you want to ask the holy man to join in for a dance or get some grub?]

Nothing to do with creativity, right? Toast stuff you like! You can toast toast!

[ it's good food. Anyways, Kano's hands are empty, no food no drink, but he does peer at that champagne glass ]

[He smiles over at Kano as the other sends a look at his champagne glass.]

This is my first drink of the evening. I don't plan on going overboard. Wouldn't be setting a good example, you know?

It's a party, you know? The time and place to go overboard and indulge yourself!

Because it would reflect badly on the Church?

[MAYBE HE NEEDS TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHER SHADY PRIESTS smh]

You're saying this to a priest. We don't know the meaning of "indulgence".

Indulgence is living! C'mon, who's gonna tell on you? Everybody here's gonna be too smashed to remember a thing!

[ Plus the whole memloss business... It really shouldn't matter, in this place set aside in time and space. ]

[He takes a sip from his glass, smiling wide.]

God's always watching. Can't exactly disappoint Him.

[He lets out a short, disbelieving scoff.]

What, did God do something to you personally? Kind of a weird kneejerk reaction, there.

Yeah, he killed me and my entire family.

[ And lots of other horrible stuff!!!!!!! there's just so much ]

[In return, she raises her glass of.................... water. Because she's drinking water, and apparently doesn't find it weird judging by the smile on her face.]

Well... I've never thought you have to say anything creative in a toast. Just whatever comes to mind.

[He doesn't find it weird, either, just giving her a nod in reply.]

Okay. I'll toast to you having the grace of mind to stay away from the alcohol at your age, then.

[... She glances around, frowning when she spots some very obvious teens chugging booze. Y'all.]

I'd rather not get sick and become an inconvenience for everybody else. [They only have a Singular Painkiller each, please.] Age restrictions are in place for a reason... I think.

[even though he is a Priest(TM) he sure isn't stopping this underage drinking whatsoever]

You're doing a good thing. Alcohol can absolutely dull the senses, make you act out...and I'm sure the last thing we all want is for people to go too crazy. A little crazy is fine, though.

[misstrust]

You're not going to dance? It can't be that exciting just watching.

[ Sadly, Dorothy's dancing outfit did not come along with her, so she's merely in her usual one. She did sweep her hair up into a fancier-looking bun, though. ]

Well, nobody has asked me yet, which I don't blame them for, and I'm just very shy.

[He's smirking, though, so "shy" is totally meant to be sarcastic.]

Then I suppose I'll have to be the rude one.

[ As she lowers herself into a curtsy. ]

Might I have this dance?

[His smirks widens into a grin - Hansa moves to stand, giving her a bow in return.]

It might be rude, but...hey, with an offer from a pretty lady like this, how can I resist?

[misstrust]

[ To that, Dorothy laughs and offers her hand. ]

I don't usually see shy men who are so apt at flattery!

[ Yes, surely he really was shy. ]

You just caught me in a good mood, that's all. I'm usually quite antisocial.

[Says the man in the midst of a bustling party - he takes her hand lightly, his other hand moving to rest on her shoulder.]

A little warning, though, honestly. I really don't dance often. You'll have to forgive the fact that I was born with two left feet.

[misstrust]

We can start slow. Dancing was drilled very thoroughly into my head, and I have to admit, I also didn't start off graceful.

[ But she places her other hand on his shoulder and takes the first step, leading him into a fairly simple dance.

If he steps on her feet, she'll endure it. ]

I guess I can be grateful I'm in the hands of a master. I'll do my best to follow your lead.

[He's actually fairly careful - he is definitely a little stiff, but he doesn't make any obvious blunders or huge misteps. Even with the unfamiliarity, this is a man who seems like he's an expert at keeping himself nicely controlled, like...well, a well-oiled machine.]

Well, I don't think you need to worry too much about stepping on me. You're certainly cautious.

[ Stiffly so, but not anything she can't work with. ]

[She's got something bubbly and pink in a cup and it's a mystery whether it's alcohol or not at first glance and I hate that I had to write that.]

Huh? [She looks a little caught off guard, being asked something like that when she'd just come to say hello.] Did you not like Claude-san's speech? I thought it was kinda nice.

[Now he's the one a little caught off guard.]

Oh, this isn't meant to overshadow Claude. Its just like an addition? The more the merrier, right?
