WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

[Hansa is very dubious about going on this moon thing because like. What the heck. You can't just go to the moon like this? But now Soo-won is looking at him with those big ol' eyes.]

I guess, but...honestly, I wonder if its like a simulation or something...

[and he's been given far too much free reign given that he just reaches for hansa's hand to pull him along onto one of the shuttles that's returned for the trip]

[Whoops, he's being pulled along. Honestly, deep down he's kind of curious too. Moon time go??]

[He glances down at Soo-won as they enter.]

I guess this is all one big shock for you, huh.

[recrowns]

[MOON TIME GO - but hansa will at least be free since once they're on board, he'll have his hand back. soo-won's too busy looking at all the suits and the buttons and clearly reaching out to touch them before pulling his hand back at the last second when he doesn't know what they do]

What is this place? We're where the stars should be, right? Even higher than Gulfan can fly?

Well, technically yes. Gulfan couldn't fly this high because the pressure and lack of air would make it impossible for him to survive.

[He's looking over the suits too with some interest.]

The stars are actually farther away than you think, though. They might look closer, though.

[recrowns]

Oh, how terrible. I'll just bring him back something...

[no crushed bird on this day]

So even this far away from the ground, the stars are still out of reach... My, it's almost poetic.

I don't think the moon has souvenirs, Won, but if you think he's a fan of rocks, go for it.

[He lets out a light huff.]

I guess it is. But it just really shows that we're rather small in the face of a vast universe. Which is...also poetic, I suppose.

[recrowns]

[said in a tone of awe. please make him shut up]

Fufu, do you feel small or insignificant in this place, Hansa?

Hm? Well, it sort of feels like standing in front of one of God's unimaginable, endless mysteries. But feeling "insignificant" is the wrong word. Feeling small, yes. Insignificant, no.

[hansa your GOD - soo-won listens thoughtfully at that, even as he examines the suit. is he supposed to put this on so he doesn't suffocate outside??]

You do? I'm flattered. I don't fancy myself a philosopher, though. I just say what I feel.

I'd say that's just about as much as philosophy.

It's not bad to feel small, I think - to realize how vast the world is, and how many different people and creatures exist out there. Even just by being in this place, I feel as though I've gotten to learn so much from so many others.

Aside from the blood game, I'd say it's a fortunate thing.

I guess there's always a good point to broaden one's horizons.

And now look at us. We're going to the moon. I don't think I would've thought this ever would've happened, even when I was a kid.

Really? Even you've never been? Then we'll have to make sure that we're prepared for it!!

hope that there's notes by the suits that tell them that they have to put them on before they go outside. soo-won is going to reach for one and - stumble]

[Annnd he's going to go opposite of Soo-won to hold that spacesuit up so it won't topple over him completely.]

It sure is. What, did you think it would be light as a feather? These things are tough enough to withstand space, you know.

[yes that's obvious - though now that he's stable he should be able to heft the suit with a little bit of effort]

We sure do, unless you really like dying a horrible death due to lack of air.

Fufu, I don't think I'll get to choose how I go out, but I'd rather it not be that.
