WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

[ Kano grins at the laugh, turning to resume is walk down the hall. ]

Sure are! Unless you're, like, any good at dissembling machinery, and then maybe I'll let you tag along~

[Kano said he was forbidden, so he does not start walking after the boy since that would be naughty.]

I'm not bad at it, depending on the machinery in question.

[suddenlybees]

[ Kano, shouting behind him like this is a perfectly reasonable way to continue a conversation: ]

A blender!

[papasha]

A blender, hm?

[After a second of pause, he starts to follow after Kano. Not slowly, but not quickly, a casual pace, like he's in no rush.]

Are you trying to get the blades out of it...?

[suddenlybees]

Hmm, sorta like... the whole spinny bit!

[ The blades and the motor and the power cord to keep it all running. Honestly, it doesn't take a mechanic, just a hard enough rock to get the plastic container off. ]

[papasha]

I see. The whole rotor blade.

[His soul is expiring very quickly.]

Did you take it to the technician lab?

[suddenlybees]

The what?

[ No, it's in the kitchen. Why would he take it to a lab when he can just dismantle it in the kitchen. ]

[papasha]

How about you bring it to the tech lab for me, and I will get the rotor out of it for you?

I believe there are some people here would be very cross if you destroyed the kitchen more than it's already been tampered with. The lab has tools I can use.

[suddenlybees]

I wouldn't destroy the kitchen! Just, like, a li'l bit of countertop, maybe. But anyways, why don't we nab that blender and you show me where this tech lab is?

[papasha]

We'll see.

[He doesn't trust.

But he will go with Kano to get the blender from the kitchen.]

[suddenlybees]

[ Kano has done nothing wrong in this game yet, wow.

Anyways, they're going to the kitchen. Out the space station, across the bridge, to the inn... and then they're going to have to go all the way back to the lab, all while Kano carries his saw with him and walks with a little skip in his step so that the saw swings around and if Blanca gets too close he might find himself missing fingers. ]

[papasha]

[Not to worry, Blanca is definitely not getting close to Kano. He already had his glasses stolen. :\

But this is fine. It's ridiculously out of the way, and yet, it does not seem to bother Blanca in the slightest. Haha.]

Are you planning to make something when you get the rotor?

[suddenlybees]

[ Did he ever get his glasses back......... ]

[He absolutely did not, KANO.]

My. What do you need a chainsaw for exactly...?

[suddenlybees]

[ delightedly adds Blanca's glasses to Kano's inventory ]

I see. And what do you plan to compensate me with if I help you to retrieve it?

[suddenlybees]

I'll give you an IOU? You'd be, like, last in line behind three other people, though.

I suppose I'll have to hold onto the rotor then until you have something to give me in return.

[ The blender is public property! He insists as he was going to take it for himself anyways. ]

Can't you just, like, I dunno, trade a favor for a favor? I don't own anything useful, but I can at least be useful. Just give me a job.

[papasha]

Favors don't hold up very well where I'm from. [He is thoughtful for a bit.] All right. I'll give you a job in return.

On one day of my choosing, you have to do whatever I say.

[suddenlybees]

[ He agrees very very easily, hand extended, pinky out. Being at the whims of another person? Not unfamiliar. ]

Only a calendar day, though, so you better come find me at midnight sharp to get your time's worth!

[papasha]

[He really did agree way too easily.]

Only a calendar day. No tricks. So long as you promise no tricks of your own.

[He extends his offering of the pinky promise.]

Now, I believe we can get you that rotor.

[suddenlybees]

[ He makes that pinky promise, but he says nothing about no tricks. Tricks are subjective! Kano is a good boy who never plays any tricks ever. ]
