WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

Humans tend to scare these creatures.

[he's trying not to scare the bird, but he nods in agreement.] Some of them are scarier to us than we are to them though. You've seen some of the other things out there, haven't you?

[retellers]

Yes. But they need to feed, or they believe you're threatening their territory. To them, attacking you is only reasonable.

[reconnective]

I don't know if it's that reasonable if wandering into their territory's an accident. [bears...] You seem to know a lot about them. Or at least understand them better.

[retellers]

They are living creatures, just as any of you.

[reconnective]

I guess that's true enough. [that's one way to think of it.] Do you like them more than people? I know the town's a little crowded sometimes.

[retellers]

My feelings are equal. One's life is not worth more than another.

[reconnective]

Definitely not. [hm...] You probably already know, but my name's Sora. I've been waiting to meet you guys.

[reconnective]

It's okay. You guys were busy at the castle, right? [he assumes.] Fox said you guys trade off, but now the town's even bigger. There's a lot to take in.

[retellers]

Yes, there is.

[ one might get the sense that, not unlike wolf, goat is not a great conversationalist--although it doesn't seem like goat is trying to end the conversation, at least. ]

[reconnective]

[well...he will try.]

It's not so bad...it's kind of cool we have somewhere new to look. [a beat.] One of the others said you were the one who gave us the galaxy rocks. Is that true?

[retellers]

Yes.

[reconnective]

Any reason behind that? They're kinda cool, but I've been wondering.

[retellers]

[ their shoulders droop. ]

I thought they were pretty...

kept throwing them at things ]

[reconnective]

[oh my god. well! sora's going to reach into his pocket and pull out his rock! he has been taking care of his rock.]

I thought maybe it might've been something else, but even just for a rock it's nice to look at. [he grins.] So thanks.

I know a lot of us still have them. Did you guys pick everything out right before we got here?

[retellers]

A few days before, give or take. We discussed it... and Tiger explained to me what a "condom" was.

[reconnective]

Guess that explains why no two things are alike. [also tiger, why. but the way that's said...] Were you familiar with the other stuff you guys picked out?

That's a start. [there's a grin.] I guess everything else is pretty different. But the town has some cool stuff...if you wanted to learn more?

People have been teaching me many things I didn't know before. Someone explained to me what "knocking someone up" means, the other day.

[reconnective]

Maybe that's not really something you should be learning about. [who the fuck is teaching the npcs about sex.]
