WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

I can safely say no one I've ever met has had hair quite like yours, for example.

Sora, it is quite literally defying gravity.

Huh...[both of his hands come up to touch his own hair.] I guess. It's kind of always been like that though.

[misstrust]

Naturally??

[ Sora, what the hell? ]

[reconnective]

Yup. I've never really noticed anything different. [even as a child his hair kind of grew up and sideways so there really is no reasoning behind it.]

[misstrust]

... Ah.

Well, I've met demons and centaurs. I suppose gravity-defying hair isn't that odd in the scheme of things.

[reconnective]

[...squinting.] You have demons in your world? [he has somehow entirely missed the part where there are demons here.]

[misstrust]

... You know Rufus is a demon?

[ Maybe he doesn't?? ]

[reconnective]

I thought he was just a bounty hunter.

[misstrust]

He's both.

But no normal human would be over a thousand years old and still look that attractive. That would just be incredibly cruel.

[ Proof positive that Rufus is a demon, right there. ]

[reconnective]

[is that how that works?]

Are you sure he's really over a thousand years old?

[misstrust]

He doesn't seem like the joking type, does he?

[reconnective]

When you put it that way? I take that back, I can absolutely believe he's a thousand-year-old demon. [shrug!] He's not really the talkative type though either, is he?

[dorothy. do you know the secrets to making rufus talk.]

[misstrust]

[ Does there really need to be a secret-- ]

No, he's not. [ wryly. ]

But that doesn't mean he doesn't have something to say. You just have to know when to listen.

[reconnective]

I want to listen to everyone if they have things to say. [he knows that much.] I thought I understood enough, but I guess I've still got some work to do.

[misstrust]

There's time to improve. Just don't force it too much, all right?

[reconnective]

I won't. I just don't want anyone getting left behind either by not talking to them. [so...it is a balance.]

[misstrust]

You don't need to worry about them. I'm sure I bother at least Rufus enough to be a problem.

I doubt anybody would really consider it a bother, Dorothy. [rip in rufus and being bullied.] But that's good to know.
