WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

You guys are okay after what happened at the castle last week, right? Nobody really told us any details, and I think a lot of us were a little worried when we couldn't see anybody else.

We were busy. And seeing the rest of us wasn't going to make you guys learn anything new.

That's okay. I know you guys only know so much right now, but... it's still really good to see the rest of you.

Did you fix whatever went wrong?

[retellers]

[ they ignore the nice thing that she says and instead answers the question. ]

Mm, yes and no.

[heartablaze]

[whispers tsundere while wolf jolts up in their sleep from 3 miles away on reflex]

So... you only got some of it fixed???

[retellers]

We got it stabilized enough that the immediate danger we were in is gone.

[ they shrug. ]

But what happened last weekend definitely changed things.

Is there anything we can do to help, Tiger-san?

Anything extra, I mean... besides what the Realm is asking us to do. I don't want you guys to be in danger because of what mistakes we might make.

[ it is impossible to tell with the mask, but they are definitely raising an eyebrow. ]

Shouldn't you be worried about yourself?

I can be worried about more than one thing.

You don't have to be worried about us.

I know I don't have to. But you're stuck here just like the rest of us, aren't you? And you've already lost all of your memories...

If we're gonna find a way to fix all this and go home, then I want to make sure that includes the six of you.

It depends on who you're asking that to. Some people are into that whole thing.

I'll be nice and say you should probably save it for someone else. I'm not really the idealistic type. Maybe it's the trauma?

I care a lot about what happens to me, actually. I'm at least in my top five people who I give a fuck about, although the other four are currently unaccounted for.

It's okay for other people to care, too. It doesn't mean we're gonna stop looking after ourselves or anything. It just means we wanna see you do good just as much as you want it for yourself, you know? Like, um... oh! Like cheerleaders!!

[retellers]

Cheerleaders, huh...?

[ they place their hands on their hips. ]

I've never done it before, but I'll definitely cheer for you! I'll cheer for all of you!

[ tiger needs to take a moment to wonder how exactly they ended up in this situation. ]
