WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

[hello chiron. sora grins upon seeing him but he shakes his head sheepishly.]

Not really. I've helped Rabbit with his garden a couple of times and we had some flowers at my house but nothing like this. But if we're the only ones here there probably isn't anybody else looking after them. [so. he's helping.]

What about you?

[Though their Rabbit could probably use gardening to help calm down. Stop fainting, they're begging ya]

And while food was not a pressing concern for me, I had to feed my students and any livestock I looked after. So perhaps not flowers, but...

[He can do a bit of agriculture if necessary.]

Definitely a different Rabbit. He's way pickier than this Rabbit. I didn't know you had a farm though. [why else would chiron look after livestock? also he's not going to mention anything about a half-horse looking after other animals given. where he comes from.]

I was just wondering about trying to grow something new in town. We don't really know how long we're gonna be here or how long our supplies will last.

Yes... it is partly why I want to explore all of our options, even the odd-looking ones.

I can offer some advice on some of the best methods to grow crops assuming I am familiar with them. Do we have a suitable area in place? Much of the work comes from preparing the soil.

Hm...the forest is pretty big. Maybe we could make a plot out there? [assume more people don't die out there.] We can figure out a way to make it close to the town and block it off from other animals.

[Rubbing his chin in thought]

That would be wise, yes -- especially as there are rather large bears in the forest now. I unintentionally stole the territory of one, but it was further in and so not suitable to our plans.

... Would our Leaders perhaps be able to help us?

[reconnective]

We could ask. The worst they could do is say no. [...wait hold on.] Wait are you saying you stole a bear's house?

[it's not a house, but same thing.]

[God that makes him sound like such a thief, Chiron actually pauses]

The matter is a bit more... complex than that. Bears set up territories by scent-marking and as one bear happened to smell me near their territory, it tried to fight me off.

I'd only meant to defend myself without harming the creature, but it does mean it ceded its territory to me as a result.

[reconnective]

Dude. [he has learned the word dude from someone, and now chiron is a dude.] You didn't actually hurt it, right? Hansa already punched one of the bears out there, we don't need to make more of them angry.

Oh, did he?

[Said in a tone that implies GOOD FOR HIM.]

No, it left uninjured. Bears are very honest creatures in that way -- if they lose, they simply move onto other areas.

[reconnective]

Yeah. It was wearing the eyepatch we needed and it wasn't listening to me. [so sometimes...you punch.] The only bear I know is pretty easy to get along with, but I don't know if he'd ever leave his home either.

[antaressnipe]

... I did not realize you could reason with bears, Sora. Is that an ability of yours?

[reconnective]

Um...[...hm.] I don't know if I'd say it's an ability, but I'm friends with a few bears.

[antaressnipe]

[... He has some concerns]

I... see.

Well, there is nothing wrong with that, so long as you exercise caution. Not all bears are friendly, as I'm sure you know.

[Chiron is racist against bears]

Yeah, I got that. [thank you chiron.] But it's not like I haven't fought dangerous stuff before. It would've been fine.
