WEEK ONE: MINGLE
WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun. |

[He holds up both hands in surrender to the correction. He looks terribly amused, though.]
I don't disagree. Technology is for those of us who do not have the gift of magic, I believe. A form of flattery, even if not executed to your liking.

[Moving around the room to start being nosy though!! Looking up and down the walls, poking at Technologically Replicated Shelves.]
What's this rich guy's room? Are you a rich guy?
no subject
[He glances around the room at the question, smiling a bit.]
I am wealthier than most, but not partial to the idea money makes you who you are. But no, this isn't mine. It belongs to my former employer. It's the sitting room in the Lee estate.
He very much enjoyed being pampered.

[i have no idea how this vr rooms. can you sit on things. is this truly sci-fi or cheap technology.]
Middle man. I see.

He sort of grins to himself about the popcorn.]
I'll have to see if I can ever make you some up to your tastes. [He watches Taako poke around. It's expensive and busy, but simple in furniture. Most of the books have illegible spines, but a good handful are about plants and flowers.] Are you a fan? Or is this too garish for you?
no subject
Not exactly my taste. [His taste is way more garish.] Needs more crystal balls. Scrying circle or something.

I see. I'm afraid Mister Yut-Lung wasn't too much into those things. He enjoyed good Eastern tea, jewelry, and clothes.
Show me one of yours then.

[Standing up, closing his eyes - screwing up his face while he uses all his brainwaves to summon
uh
the inside of a costco? But instead of like, huge pallets of tomato sauce or 96 packs of pens or vitamin water it's weirdly Bat Guano, 96 packs of Magic Crystals and Fantasy Vitamin Water.
It's also way too complex, so it's kinda glitching at the edges.]
Hm. Where all your dreams come true . . .

Blanca blinks at the strikingly different, but still somewhat familiar change in scenery.] Costco...? [It's, like, Costco and not?
No Costco he has ever been in has had bat guano, or fantasy vitamin water. Slowly, he turns in place a bit to look around.]
You... come here often?
no subject
[Posing in front of the stacks.]
Where all your dreams come true. Or something. I think that's the theme song, I always imagine it in my head when I walk in.
no subject
[He's--impressed? Marginally. It's different. The posing gets an amused smirk.]
And? What is the best thing to buy in Fantasy Costco?
no subject
[Thinking.]
Second best, I guess the vodka is actually really good?
no subject
[Vodka, tho.]
It's a shame I can't try any of the vodka, however.
