WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

An even better reason she has you. It's kind of like a trade then, huh? You learn stuff from her, and you feed her.

. . . I suppose you could put it that way. But when you do, you make it sound like more of an apprenticeship.

Why can't you be both? The king was an apprentice for Master Yen Sid but he still had to do chores and stuff.

Heehee, you're right in that it could be. But that's not the nature of our relationship-- or my employment.

I guess if you're really okay with that...[but sharon's so helpful? so nice? so dead? al i hate you.] I've never been employed to anybody, so I guess I don't really know what it's like.

You're far too young to be employed full time. At this point in your life, you should be focusing on other matters.

Such as your education, or even young romance. ♥

The fact that you deny it so fervently tells me otherwise. But I'm teasing; don't put too much stock into the words of a silly maid.

I don't think your words are silly. [first and foremost. but he sort of looks at the ceiling instead.]

...there is someone, but she's still waiting for me. We haven't really had a chance to be together for a while, but I'll get back there someday.

[flashes him an appreciative smile. Sora, you're pure!! but she's going to focus on the romance part of this]

It must be painful, to be separated from the one that you love. I hope you two manage to find each other again some day.

Love is kind of a strong word, Sharon. [please? he just recently learned how to hold hands?] But we've been separated a lot, so I'm not too worried. Even if it takes a really, really long time I'm sure I'll see her soon. And my other friends, too.

That's quite a romantic notion. . . are you a traveler, Master Sora?

[traveling is much easier to talk about than his feelings for kairi so he latches on immediately.]

Yeah. My friends and I have traveled to all kinds of worlds to help save them. We don't always know where we'll end up, but there's always a reason.

I still find the existence of different "worlds" to be fantastical, and it's amazing that you came from a place where it sounds commonplace. You must enjoy your adventures very much.

I do. Or I have. It's not always possible for just anyone where I'm from, but we have a vessel we use to travel to places that need our help. We've always ended up with new friends though and getting to explore each place so it wasn't bad at all.

Heehee. . . but by the same token, when it comes time to leave your new companions behind, that must also be difficult.

Maybe. But it's just what we have to do, you know? We're the only ones who can help, so it was our job to try and save as many worlds as possible while looking for our friends.
