WEEK TWO: MINGLE

WEEK TWO: MINGLE (37 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs! Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing. Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

[He may be an avatar of depression, but Schwann is also a knight, so he's instantly ready to do battle with this weird, surprise threat, and he's got his weird sword drawn and ready to take down skeleton pirates.

And then ChadBucky McVezda's flailing fists clock him right in the face.]

Ahh~ Perhaps you should be more careful there!

[ Shima is technically also a Knight-- But in any case, he has his usual Buddhist staff out and he's taking more care to avoid the wild swings from a rogue drunk than to attack any of the skeleton pirates. That... is probably a bigger threat right now. ]

[ What the fuck, you guys.

There are skeletons here, and they all just kind of stop mid-attack to sort of watch The Artist Formerly Known as Raven get punched in the face. They seem to appreciate the gesture?

There is a family of five covering in the corner, screaming, as skeletons surround them. Terrible. They just wanted matching family shirts. ]

[ Thanks for stopping, skellies, because Vezda takes this chance to brace himself against a wall, gather his bearings, and throw a proper punch. At an actual skeleton this time.

Too bad his balance is shot, so he stumbles after throwing the punch. That sucker's skull better pop clean off. ]

[Schwann sniffs a bit as blood starts flowing out his nose but he seems fairly unfazed all things considered. He'll take a swing at a skeleton with his sword while at the same time shouting at Shima and pointing to the family.]

Shima, stay near the civilians and try to escort them away from the danger if you can.
[Captain's orders.]

[ moving to be closer to the family, swinging his staff at any skeletons that comes close to them.

[ I will be nice and say the skeleton's head pops off! And it flies... and another skeleton catches it. It will not try to club Bucky with the skull of its comrade.

The skeleton that Schwann attacks will fight back, because it also has a sword.

Meanwhile, with Shima, the dad starts clinging onto his back, which probably does not help whatsoever. ]

Help! Save us!

[ Have fun with that. ]

[ Vezda stumbles enough that he has to rely on the now headless skeleton for balance...which gives him an idea.

He grabs the headless skeleton by the shoulders and starts flailing it wildly around him, trying to take out as many skeletons nearby as possible.

(rip to Schwann, again, if he's within range) ]

[He for some reason hasn't gotten out of Bucky's immediate vicinty, and is distracted by the skeleton swordfight, so yeah, collateral damage is pretty much guaranteed.

He's got years of sword experience so the skeleton probably isn't TOO much trouble, he'll try to disarm it, before he gets smacked and finally yells at Bucky;]

Will you control yourself!?

Hey, get of! I can't help you if you're climbing on me!

[ tries to shove the man off him ]

[Laine is late and--]

Someone get me a sword!

[Totally unarmed. And regretting it.]

[ I allow Bucky spinning the skeleton, because the mental image is too funny to say no to. However, it also gives the other skeletons the same idea? They start to grab their own comrades, and also start to spin them to attack both Bucky and Schwann with projectiles of bone.

The man just clings on even more tightly to Shima. He is trying to climb onto him now. His family just looks away, embarrassed.

Luckily for Laine, a skeleton gives him a sword! By trying to stab him with one. Wow. Helpful.

It's either this or puking all ov--shit!

[ THEY'RE CAPABLE OF LEARNING, OH GOD

Vezda covers his head with his metal arm to deflect the bones flying at him but he's only partially successful.

Also fuck swords, he's gonna grab a loose femur and use it as a club, fuck these guys ]

[Things are getting far too silly over here, he’s over it. He’s going to try to make his way over to the family and try to fight the skeletons menacing them so that Shima can get the family away.]

[ Shima would like to escape!!




And take the family with him, I guess, but it's hard to do that with a FULLY GROWN MAN CLINGING AND CLIMBING ON HIM

Shima just starts to smack him instead with the staff ]

You're! Not helping!

[Thanks skeleton.

It's a good thing Laine is good at sword fights but especially at dodging. He's going to dodge that attack, and try to smack the skeleton hard on the arm. Can he make it drop that sword?]

[ Vezda is now engaged in a femur on femur battle to the death, as a skeleton has just removed its own comrade's arm to do battle. ]

We have come for our revenge... we will not leave empty-handed.

[ Literally. As it is holding a hand.

Meanwhile, Schwann will have a few skeletons rushing at him. Also, this building is on fire. But they will try to go for his leggies.

The man who is holding onto Shima, after getting smacked, suddenly... starts laughing? Hm. ]

Hahaha... how did you know? That I'm a double agent.

[ The family gasps.

While that drama is happening, Laine smacks a sword out of a skeleton's hand... and it goes flying and lodges itself in a wall. ]

[ Vezda is also getting fed up with this, especially because he is only getting dizzier. With a vicious roar, he swings the femur at every skeleton within reach, imagining their bones all shattering.

And then he pukes. Violently. All over all of them.

And maybe some of his teammates, if you want your characters to be in the splash zone. ]

[Well good thing Schwann chose to distance himself from Bucky!! The skeletons can try to go for his legs, but if they do, he's going to try to smash some holes in skulls with his sword! The rules with this stuff is to destroy the head, right?]

What revenge? As far as I can see you've just attacked an innocent town.

[yamantaka]

--Don't go trying to steal my shtick here!

[ can he ram the gun into a wall? if so he's doing that! ]

[Laine's going to pull that sword out of the wall, he's stronger than he looks. And he's going to do a fancy "kick the skeleton in the ribcage" move at the same time.

Let him look cool for like ten seconds before he slips in a puddle of puke next tag okay.]

[ Vezda succeeds in throwing up on some skeletons, who don't get paid enough for this, and they leave.

There are still other ones though. Schwann stabs some skulls! Hell yeah! The same skeleton speaks again, who is holeless. ]

You fool... no one is truly innocent. These people raised an alcoholic baby.

[ The guy is smashed against the wall! His family scream, as they are still struggling with the betrayal of their father figure. The man tries to punch Shima.

The skeleton is kicked! Laine looks so cool right now! The puke is there. ]

[ Vezda raises a fist in victory as he slumps to the ground. Eat it, skeletons.

Then he remembers that one asshole of Shima's back. So he wrestles himself out of his shirt, mops up as much of the puke as he can off the ground, then balls it up to yeet it at the jerk.

Hopefully it actually lands on him and not, you know, someone else. ]

[I refuse to take the fall on this one, Bucky's puke shit can hit someone else.

Schwann's busy trying to process what this one just fucking said.]

[He is distracted but will still reflexively stab any skeletons who try to get froggy at him in the head, so.]
