WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. 1. FROSTY MACHINE BROKEN

[if you walk over by the bridge, you'll see a young woman clad in a white gown standing in, more or less in the bridge's middle (or as far as the barrier will allow her to go,) open palmed, gesturing at the water.

every so often she'll pause, stare at her hands, shake them both out, like someone preparing to exercise—and splay them in front of herself—then frown. she seems to be growing gradually more and more frustrated (or confused?) with both her hands, and the river.

2. WHY DON'T YOU EVEFR ANSWER ME OCEANRIVER?

[after some time on the bridge, and nothing seeming to happen or work

elsa, genuinely frustrated and out of ideas now, shuffles through her goodiebag

withdraws the rock, seems to make up her mind about something

and hucks it into the river in frustration. TAKE THAT YOU STUPID UNMAGICAL STREAM?




--but as soon as the rock hits the water, she suddenly snaps out of it, and gasps. what has she done? what if that rock was important??

elsa spends the rest of the afternoon fishing things out of the river (including whatever garbage other people have been yeeting into it) in the search for her rock.]

[much later still, she's sitting in the square, puzzling out her PHS, because she is a certified ye olde. if you approach her, she'll put down the PHS and, give you a small, friendly smile.
