WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure theyāre arriving in the evening? Just say āhelloā! Or āgreetingsā! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh thatās true. Greetings, everyone. Thatās better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the thatās better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

Hey.
(Just... gently pats her back because HE'S NOT GOING TO PULL HER HAIR, HE'S A GENTLEMAN,)
Someone's going to trip on you if you stay out like this.
(And because he's a gentleman he sort of just... moves her hair? Which probably feels kind of like tugging but ITS NOT)

Oh.]
--Huh?
[A look at the nameplates, then back at the young man.]
Was I in the way? I'm sorry, I got a little tired.
Are... you Hilda?
no subject
Haha, am I? (He's not answering that question! He's just going to let it sit there for a bit while Hikaru catches his bearings,) Sorry, to disappoint but I'm not. You'll have to try again.
(Can she guess? It seems a little unfair when there aren't any clues!!)
But let me guess, you're Hikaru? Did I say that right?
(He probably put the stress in the wrong place or something but an effort was made.)

How'd you know that was me???
[magic :0
Or that the name is plastered on the wall above her head but
Details.]
no subject
(As for how he knew?)
We~ell... Let's just say I have my ways. (Let your imagination run wild, Hikaru.) Anyway, have a good nap?
no subject
Yeah, it was fine! I didn't mean to fall asleep, I just got so hungry... But I wanted to see if I could get inside here. [She points at the closed door, pouting a little.] I couldn't figure it out, but maybe Hilda knows?
Ah... hey, there's a lot of information on that little tiny computer box everyone got, right? Did you find my name there?
no subject
(Look, he hasn't tried to get into his own room yet! So he'll just reach for the doorknob handle whatever and give it a try.
...
...
...)
Alright then.
(He's just going to... unpin the ribbon lapel on his cloak real casual.)
You could say that but if I'm being honest, you're definitely not Hilda which means you can only be one other person.
(Tapping the name plate. )
no subject
Right.
[Her ears go red.]
A-anyway, yeah, it's super weird. I couldn't get it open, and no one is answering so I guess Hilda isn't in there?
It... wouldn't just have my name there without a reason, though.

(Anyway, just going to crouch down next to the door and.... try to pick the lock with his pin! Give him a sec. He's pretty focused while he gives it a little jiggle here and there,)
I can only assume these are our rooming assignments. If that's the case, I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.
