WEEK TWO: TRIAL (35 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks. "... Third time isn't the charm, as it turns out. You have nine hours. We'll help with what we can, as before." ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Thanks. I won't do it again. [probably.] But I wonder if we can use this to kind of determine what might happen to people in the future if they sleep in certain places.

I think so. Some of the effects seem to relate to the locations. Getting intoxicated because you were in the pub, smelling like fish because you're out by the sea, talking like a pirate because you're on the ship—

Those don't seem too out of place.

Yeah...and some of them would also be kinda easy to mimic from somebody else, too. Not that anybody did that, but do you think a person's still hit with an effect if they weren't actually asleep that entire time?

If it's only tied to a location, then I'd say if someone was awake but stayed in that place, it could, but...

Considering why someone would be awake on Thursday, I would say no. They would be moving from place to place.

So then that means that everybody's still suspicious even if it seems like they had an effect yesterday. If you stay with a big enough group of people, it becomes pretty obvious what you're experiencing. You can blend in right away and nobody would even know.

I don't want to start a witch hunt nor do I want to dissuade people from becoming friends and forming bonds. In fact, I would encourage we all try to get along, as it will help us.

[ But... ]

We do still need to find out the truth behind what's happening, so there may be some thought put into what is a good number between having someone be there for safety and a group large enough to obscure the truth.

I don't want to say we should stop making friends either. That's not fair. The Realm has to be responding to these things somehow. [...she's right though.]

When I put up the signs, it was just to make sure people weren't by themselves. But I didn't think about how it could make it way easier for a killer to slide into a group to hide themselves.

And our evidence right now...with so many gloves, it'll be hard to figure out much of anything, won't it? But we have to keep looking at everything.

The Realm will respond to us being friends.

[ It should sound cheesy, but she's saying it sincerely and also factually. ]

I do think in our search for the truth that we should also consider why. What are the reasons behind it all, and if we can find that out, what do we think is best to do about it?

As Elsa mentioned last night, something bigger is out there, and... do any of these kills have a part in that, too?

The disturbance was already happening when we got here, right? That was the whole reason we were brought here in the first place, that monster thing that's eating all of our memories. But then Virid killed Hajime and broke the Realm itself.

It's possible that things are happening to people that we don't know about yet. Or how they're happening.

It's something we have to consider as we go through the evidence we find.
