WEEK THREE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your fourth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [soo-won will approach along with usagi - and he'll actually glance around the roots first since that's where they're starting? anything on the ground leading up to the tree itself or at the bottom?]

[ ari it's the big jungle tree. the tree of life. the mother tree, if you will. anyway

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the roots or the bottom of the tree. There's no obvious body pinned to it, either. There is an adorable Mob climbing the tree though! So cute. It's a big tree, he has a while to climb. ]

[ i'm gonna admit right now i forgot there was a big tree.

anyways, while mob climbs and usagi hovers worriedly, she shakes her head at won because like heckie is she going up. ]

I think we might have to rely on Shiego-kun.

[ she's not particularly built for these sort of things after all, ha. anyways, while that happens, usagi is gonna talk a walk around the tree but look up this time just in case she needs to direct mob to a specific location ]

I'll go after him just in case, it might be better since there may be things hidden in the branches. If you could, check the vines in the surrounding area as well.

[but soo-won will climb on up after mob!!

if they look straight up into the tree would they be able to make any shapes or anything odd out from above? any dripping blood from the branches or anything, we've done this before hilariously]

[What's wild is I forgot when I wrote my tag he has a sprained arm. But it's fine - he doesn't feel pain! So he'll just climb to the top, almost falling only a couple times.

From up here, if he looks down and around them, towards the vines, does he see anything?]

[ Mob and Soo-Won start their climb up, but there doesn't seem to be anything immediately apparent up there. Then again! It's a big ass tree. It's thicc.

Usagi makes a round around the thicc tree, and while she doesn't see anything up there, she'll see something tangled up in the vines near the far back of the tree a little above eye level with her ]

[ OH BOY.......

so while the boys are distracted up in the tree, she's gonna go right up on her tippy toes to reach right in and make an attempt to tug it out. please let it be the head ]

but guess they're gonna keep going up and up and up!!]

[but we're doing matchies in terms of not being able to feel today! nice! once they're actually up in the branches of the tree, would it be possible to see anything up there?]

[He's a little tired, but he's trying. While Soo-woo is looking in the branches, he'll look down at Usagi. From here can he see anything that will traumatize him?]

[ The real trauma is seeing a vague shape in the distance that looks like Hilda fighting a leopard. But no, there's nothing to see from up there, and nothing up in the tree, either.

That's not quite true.

They have disturbed some gorillas. The gorillas are starting to climb towards them. Have fun with that.

Meanwhile, Usagi will be able to tell it's a little plushie from the very first reward! Its tiny arms are wrapped up deliberately in vines, like it is playing jump rope. I'm making you go one more round before I show the picture, because I'm feeling mean. ]

[ so much for my attempt at trauma. usa gently removes the plushie from the vines to take back to the others. does she get to recognize it or non??

otherwise, upon seeing the gori-san's she meeps and quickly backtracks to a spot where she's less likely to get noticed and peeks out nervously. it's fine. ]

Guys..........! Behind you!

[ shouldn't that be 'under you'?? ]

last check is there anything past the gorillas, like are the gorillas in the back just messing around with a head or anything. soo-won's trying to think of what to do in this situation hm.]

[ So anyway the gorilla grabs and violently throws Mob out of the tree. maybe he catches himself on vines! maybe soo-won catches him! maybe he dies as he hits every branch! who knows. only siz knows now.

MEANWHILE, USAGI, now has a cute little doll. look at this cute nerd. haha wow. ]

[ aw what a cutie. he goes safely into a pocket because she has no idea who it is. i, however shriek.

however, usagi is also shrieking because her buddy just got yeeted? yote? whatever! she's rushing forward trying to position herself to catch him from down yonder ]

[ time to get squashed under this rescue pile ]

[this is a fucking disaster but i want mob to be able to call for swan or goat so soo-won is just going to also yeet himself off the tree

if one of the npcs shows up to grab mob then soo-won will just catch himself on a vine, probably reopening his wounds again, but

i can't pretend that he's just going to let the baby boy baby die]

[Soo-won! He's mildly concerned when he's yeeted out of a tree but more concerned when Soo-wan jumps after him! Soo-won might really get hurt!]

[ Well, Swan's name was first, so that's who appears in their usual sparkling teleport, first showing up right beside Mob and grabbing him by the arm and then rescuing Dana from reopening Soo-Won's wounds for the fiftieth time by immediately going for him next before all three reappear on the ground. Far from Gorillas.

Usagi has a very important adorable doll, and even while falling there is nothing immediately wrong with the three ]

Why were you guys falling.

[ oh thank goodness. usagi just sort've slumps to the floor for a moment before getting up and throwing herself at swan. ]

[ she'll come pat soo woo too once she's done making sure their youngest member is alive in one piece. ]

but he does look relieved, if a little disoriented once he's back on the ground.]

Did you find anything among the vines, Usagi...?

[do they have to climb all the way to the very top of the fucking tree or what. i can't think of where else they can examine right now]

[Honestly, he's fine. He's been thrown harder. But giving Swan a smile, all investigation forgotten.]

Swan, could we ask for your assistance? Is it possible to teleport past the gorillas to ensure there's nothing else in the tree and they haven't collected any other items?
