WEEK THREE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your fourth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [well...okay. another friday. sora finds himself in the village, approaching hilda and zuko who are nearby and glancing around the general area of the bonfire first and for anything blatantly obvious. like another person on the ground.]

Where should we look first?

[i guess i am really out here on a branch being like "taako is definitely able to walk fine today" but that's fine

he can hobble around and look at some blood splatters and feet prints (please god let there not be any footprints)]

[ zuko will check out the scenery generally... then start at the guard posts ]

I'm sure there'll be something in the clothing shop.

[ he kind of just looks at hilda.... ]

No. Actually, I would really rather be napping.

[ she sighs but she heads over in the direction of the cute petting zoo... provided there isn't something super distracting when they get there. ]

But I'd rather not miss anything.

[ like lup is going to let taako go anywhere without her. blanca can come too. she instantly looks relieved to see him.

anyway she wanders behind taako, keeping an eye out for trails of any kind or scuffs on the ground or maybe like, torn cloth. just a general scope! ]

Don't move too fast, Taako.

[ Nothing seems out of place at a glance in the village, even as Sora looks around the bonfire and Hilda heads over to the petting zoo. ]

[ Well, there's no feetie prints or torn cloth or scuff marks on the ground, but right outside at the entrance to the ruins, there are... some blood splatters! It looks like they lead deeper into the ruins. ]

[reconnective]

We'll get this done as fast as possible. [that's said to hilda, but he begins to walk past the fire and toward the streams a little ways away. people keep dumping evidence in the water, so maybe...]

Go ahead and check the clothing shop. Maybe the food shop too?

Yeah. [ ok well zuko is going to check the food area first, then head into the clothing store to suspiciously check through all the clothing and everything ]

Okay, Mom!

[Stop. Anyway. Looking at those friggin' blood spatters. Great great great good good good cool.]

Blood! Like always. Always blood. [SIGHING.] Um, can't the big guy go first? Isn't that the point of making them that size?

[But going in anyway, following the trail.]

As nice as it is that you guys are worrying about me... let's keep working.

[ words she never thought she'd say. it is a nice gesture though! at least she's not dead. anyway, is there anything weird inside the pen? all the animals intact? are they looking peaceable? anything up in the sky roof (sroof?) ]

[Wow. Always blood. He frowns considerably.]

I do not mind going first, Taako.

[Usually he wouldn't bully his way in front, though. But this time, he reaches out to gently take Taako's arm so he can shimmy ahead deeper into the ruins after the blood trail.]

[Hope he runs into something stupid.]

[ The animals are fine and their home has apparently been undisturbed. The sroof is fine.

There doesn't appear to be anything dumped in the stream.

Sipp is trying to cheat by being vague, but I'm not going to let you. Nothing out of place at a glance about the food area, but assuming Zuko immediately moves on to the clothing store: if he looks through the front clothing racks, the clothing seem fine and no dead body is hidden among them. ]

[ it's always blood. she makes a huffy sound. ]

Don't walk into any traps this time. Perception checks are worth it. [ she grouches at blanca before looking down at the trail. no footsteps in these blood trails right. ]

If you say so. [he concedes to that at least. no more fussing then, but since there's nothing in the water...how're the fishing poles and nets? everything still there? he'll check the streams again before looping back to the bonfire.

can he get close enough to see if there's maybe anything thrown into it?]

[ zuko is going to thoroughly search all the kigus and the traditional clothing -- checking them each individually, as well as the area itself, under all the racks, etc. if there's any kind of changing room or register or back room he's checking those too!! there i'm not being vague stop bullying me and answer my question ]

[ No footsteps in the blood! The droplets seem to be leading them towards the massive temple, and seem about the same size the entire time. The ground is so broken and covered in jungle debris it's hard to tell much immediately, but it does look like some of it was disturbed...?

Either way, there's nothing else on their trail until they get near the trap areas. The splatters here are seem to grow bigger as they progress. But careful! The traps are still very much active. ♥ ]

[ hilda is going to go follow up on the restaurant area since zuko apparently SUCKS and didn't check it. she hates doing this stuff, but they may as well try and do it right...

Personally, I've got Wisdom score, so, nothing to worry about here with ol' Taako.

[He is not offended by Blanca doing his Correct Job as a tank, pretty much sticking directly behind him when they enter the Danger Zone.]

[Gently trying to move some of the debris and jungle junk to look at the trail? How disturbed? By what, feets? Or something being dragged? Or like someone got caught in a trap.]

[ Everything is still there re: fishing supplies, and the streams have not changed since Sora last looked at them. The fire looks like... fire. If there's anything in it, it's not visible.

Zuko's search gets him nothing until he looks towards the back, where he finds a charred and bloody kigurumi, hung neatly.

Hilda finds nothing on the floor or up in the ceiling, and nothing looks off about the furnishings or food. Unless she wants to try eating some? ]
