WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

[Giving the bird a smile as the deer's nose twitches in interest]

Perhaps we should grab something for our newest additions? I doubt the dinosaurs would be able to eat any of this, but maybe these two...

Some of them will go for it anyway, trust me. [ looks tiredly at loretta. who is also here. sat on alex's foot. and then at alex's thread with yona. ]

But they do all look pretty good, don't they?

[Loretta... young lady...]

Indeed. I don't--

[A pause. He squints and tilts his head, but then continues]

I don't mind trying one. Is there any in particular you would like?

[ she's a rebellious young lady who does what she wants. ]

[ h m ]

I'm fine with anything. Or... I guess. I don't know what some of these would taste like, but I'm willing to test them to find out.

Well, hopefully we will not need any particular currency to try them. I'm afraid I am low on funds.

[Ha ha ha they're all poor

He's absolutely going to enter and take a few for them, however! The deer will stay with Alex, giving an excited bounce on her legs while they wait.]

[ well they’ve never needed cash money before, so! ]

If you have to pick though, something fruity would be nice?

[ but she will leave the choice in his centaur palms. the bird flutters into the shop alongside chiron, cheeping excitedly. ]

[Ah, bird. Chiron will lean over and whisper to it]

You may pick what you like. I will grab it for you.

[chanteuser]

[ the bird puffs up his feathers excitedly, and flutters down to hover over the different desserts, like it's testing them to see if they're worthy of his time.

eventually, it trills and starts doing happy little loops above a rather tasty looking apple pie.

meanwhile, outside alex stops trying to peer in the window to give the little deer some fuss. ]

[Apple pie? Very well, he grabs that long with three other desserts, ranging from fruit pies to chocolates (though those won't be for the animals, Chiron still vaguely remembers you shouldn't give those to most critters), and then makes his way back outside with the bird in tow.

Meanwhile the deer is perfectly happy nuzzling at Alex's hand for attention, she loves to be pet? Spoil her, thank you.]

Here we are. One for each of us, though the chocolate will be for me.

[Should centaurs eat chocolate? I dunno.]

[ the deer is going to be spoiler. those ears? getting pet. chin? scritched. what a cutie. ]

Oh, thank you.

[ she has one hand for deer petting and the other for holding an apple pie. the little bird is looking at the pie excitedly, but also is quite happy to nestle itself in chiron's hair and sit there looking contented. ]

-- Oh I didn't even see there were chocolate ones. What else did they have it there? It was a pretty wide selection in the first place.
