WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

Oh...! Um, well... it just felt wrong to leave it. It is like they are making fun of them, and that...

I wonder if it's making fun of them or just - trying to replay memories the only way it can?

Still fucked up though. Nothing wrong with trashing it.

I suppose that is possible... I just, um... I assumed, I suppose.

[Ange shrugs a little, looking at the puppet in her hand.]

It is a shame... watching puppet shows with a friend would be quite a lot of fun otherwise.

Still an option. You just have to steal more puppets.

[GASP.]

You are so right! We can put on our own puppet shows if we have all of the puppets!

It's like forcing us to act in a play without anyone fighting you on it.

[ since the dolls are, like, of them. maybe that's just as mean as the original shows though, haha! ]

[lecarre]

[She opens her mouth... and closes it again.

Oh no...! Do you think that is how it would come across...?

... I don't think anyone would think badly of you?

[ so, like, yes? but ange could get away with anything? ]

[hmmm... Ange frowns a little at that.]

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings... Perhaps I'll just take the puppets and not use them. They can stay in a safe place... and then there will be no performances that hurt anyone!

[stillnot]

Maybe we could put them with the shrine thing?

[lecarre]

Oh! That is a great idea!

[And with that, Ange is definitely going to go try to loot the rest of the puppets.

Ange has been corrupted.]

In a sense, we can try to honor them that way...especially the ones who are no longer with us.

[ ange off the string, what will she do next ]

... This place seems to really like dolls.

[ these puppets, and before that their plushes from home ]

[first puppets, then murder.]

Hm... you are right about that. I suppose it is the easiest way to, um... make a likeness of people?

[Thank god they don't use mannequins.]

... I was kind of happy about the stuffed toys from before.

[stillnot]

Guess so.

[ she nods. ]

Me too. I didn't know it at the time, but... I remembered.

[lecarre]

[Ange blinks, tilting her head.]

You remembered...? What did you remember? [Usually they are just constantly forgetting, so she's a little surprised.]

I remembered a friend of mine. Someone who taught me a lot, and took care of me when I was little.

Sometimes people here remember - depending on how much nova we've been getting.

[lecarre]

Oh, I see...! [Ange smiles brightly at that.]

I have gotten a few things back as well... but they were memories I had not even entirely realized I'd forgotten.

[Memloss...]

But I am happy for you--I am happy you've remembered someone so important!

[stillnot]

Yeah, I hadn't really... Realized he was missing until it got pointed out. And even then I couldn't place what I'd forgotten.

I'm glad to have him back.

[lecarre]

[Ange hums a soft little sound at that.]

I'm glad as well.

I'm grateful...for these dolls. I haven't forgotten who mine is, but... thinking that I might one day is frightening. At least I will still have that reminder, even if I do.

[stillnot]

Even if it happens, when we fix all the nova bullshit, you'd get the memories back. So - don't stress about it too much.

[lecarre]

Oh... yes, that is true. So much has happened, I nearly forgot.

It... is not permanent. It does not have to be permanent.

We will all remember again.
