WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

I think he was mostly running to give it to someone else.

[The dog gives Alex a low whuff of noise, almost proudly. It really is a big, dumb doggo.

Blanca crouches down slowly with a pop of his knees.]

And who is this then?

[He reaches out a hand to offer the black kitty cat his fingers, but doesn't, like, move in on it. He'll let the cat come to him if it wants.]

[ oh man do i have to think of a name for the daemon now ]

I'm still trying to figure that out, mostly. [ the kitty sniffs at blanca's hands curiously, tail flicking back and forth. ]

But they're pretty cute, aren't they?

[papasha]

[it could just be "cat"]

They are pretty cute. [Hehe. He lets the kitty sniff him, and then reaches up to give its head a lil scritch.] They feel a little different than pets.

[The dog has shoved its head between Alex's arm and top of the thigh. Please pet, it's dying?]

[ the cat will have a name i just need to think about it on more than two hours sleep. ]

I'm not sure what they represent but it's nice to have them padding around the place as well.

[ oh hello. the doggo demands pets. ]

Is it alright? [ is there some rule about touching people's animals? ]

[papasha]

[PLEASE SLEEP BECKS.]

I think so. I feel pretty happy when he's getting petted. [He laughs, gives the cat another head rub and then brings his hand back.] Is that weird?

If he's bothering you too badly, you can tell him to stop.

[The dog bends its head under her arm and tries to give her face some licks.]

[ not yet, the bake off is on? ]

Oh, it's not that. It just seems personal? But if it's fine---

[ the doggo! gets! ear scritches!!! plenty of them. hello there, aren't you friendly? ]

[papasha]

[Woooooooooooooooow. The dog's tail goes a mile a minute, and it would probably take off if not for the fact it isn't spinning around in the circle.

Blanca just laughs quietly.]

He's a bit of a ham sometimes.

[chanteuser]

[ hover pup. the ears are still being petted. ]

He seems happy enough at least. Dogs are meant to be curious and friendly, aren't they?

[ the cat just wanders over blanca's feet like it owns the place before headbutting his leg. as much as a cat can headbutt anything. ]

[papasha]

It may depend on the dog, but... usually.

[This cat is cute. It's black, and a bit friendlier, but it makes him think of Ash in a way. He gently runs his fingers down its back.]

Cats might be more curious, though. "Curiosity killed the cat"? But satisfaction brought it back.

[chanteuser]

[ the cat purrs happily. yes. good. pets. ]

Is that the saying? I feel like I've only heard the first part of it.

[papasha]

It's the one I've heard.

[He laughs, glancing up to her.]

Are you more of a cat person, Miss Alex?

[chanteuser]

... There's a cat that looks a bit like this that lives around my area?

[ hm. ] I don't know if I'm a cat person or not though. What about you? Are you a dog person?
