WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

...So do you think there's something out here that they were trying to hide, or is this just some big thing royalty does because they can?

.... Both, maybe? It's a good way to hide something, but also like... something someone with a lot of money would do for the sake of it. Don't you think?

Oh, for sure. It's crazy how rich people spend their money! They could just hide something in a safe like normal people if instead of building a whole maze for it!

[chanteuser]

Maybe they think the maze will be ... the less obvious place to look? A safe just suggests there's something worth taking in there.

But a hedge maze is, y'know. A hedge maze.

I can't even imagine how much it costs, though... and it sounds like a nightmare to even set it up.

...It is kind of interesting to explore, though.

And maintain! They must need to be trimmed and watered so often, otherwise the whole thing dies out?

[ such effort. ]

Yeah. Makes you wonder how they actually set it up -- do they grow the bushes from scratch, or do them bring them in fully grown and plant them?

Oh, I didn't even think about that.

[ the cost must be ASTRONOMICAL. ]

They'd have to plant them fully grown though, right? It would take years for them to grow enough from seeds, and somehow I feel like rich people don't have that kind of patience.

That sounds even more picky... bringing in whole plants just to make a maze in your garden.

[ hm. ]

The rest of the garden though, I can understand the cost there. All the flowers look really beautiful.

Yeah, but then they get their maze, just like that, and they don't have to wait to hide whatever it is they're hiding.

[ mental note: ask yaomomo if she has a hedge maze. ]

Mm, but at least that's a normal thing for a garden. Everyone loves flowers. Hey, stop for a second, okay?

she gets up on her tip toes and sticks it in alex's hair, by her ear. ]

she leans down a little so it's easier for her. ]

Hm... Pink was always my favorite.

[ as of last night, she has pearly pink nail polish with just a touch of glitter! ]

But I think I like blues, too, so something in between like a purple wouldn't be bad, either.

Purple would be pretty. Something like a violet?

Oh, sure! Violets are pretty!

[ she never would have picked them for herself but she'll take it! ]

Hey, what if we collected little bouquets for everyone, while this is all here?

That'd be a cute thing to do! We could do them by colour, or maybe by what we think would suit the people involved?

Honestly, I don't really know much about flowers... but it'd be nice if we find ones that suit the people they're for!

There must be a book somewhere in the bookshop that could help... I'll have a look when I'm next there.
