WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

[To the castle! Ange's bird burrows more deeply into her hair the closer they get, but it's fine.]

It... is quite magnificent, isn't it? From up close it is even more so, somehow.

It is! It's like we walked right into a fairy tale.

[ she smiles over at ange! ]

And you're dressed perfectly for it, too! Like one of the prettiest princes I've ever seen.

O-oh, that is, um...!

[Ange rubs the back of her head, clearly flustered.]

That is so kind of you to say... after the pirate area, I realized that I quite like being able to wear pants!

I guess if you're not used to it, it must be really nice, huh? That's kind of why I liked the dresses, too. I never get to wear anything like this at home. It's a lot easier to move around in pants, though.

Oh, but you look so lovely in dresses like this, Miss Ochako!

[She tilts her head a little.]

Do you not get to wear them often because you do martial arts...? I suppose you would need to move around well for something like that.

[ oh... she flushes a little. ]

There's just not much reason to, though, honestly. I don't really have anywhere to wear them to, for one. Dresses aren't really practical, either, and they can be really expensive, so... I only have a couple back home, and they're nothing fancy.

[lecarre]

Oh, is that right...? Well!

Perhaps when you get home, you can take some of these dresses with you. And then when you feel like wearing one... you can! It would be lovely to be able to do so, wouldn't it?

Maybe I will!

[ she absolutely will. ]

But then it's just a matter of finding when I can actually wear them... School is pretty busy, and they aren't good for martial arts. [ ...well, anyway. ] You're taking some outfits with you, too, right? Stocking up on pants?

[ she's teasing, mostly. ]

[lecarre]

[Aaah... Ange rubs the back of her head awkwardly at that.]

I... would like to bring them home with me, but it is not proper. I would never get the chance to wear them.

[infreefall]

[ not proper... ]

Well... there's nothing saying that we won't be able to visit each other after this is over, right? Maybe you can keep them for that, and then you can wear whatever you want.

[lecarre]

[Ooooh...! Ange brightens immediately.]

I did not think about that, but you are right...! If I came to visit you, I could wear whatever I wanted, right? Pants would be perfectly acceptable.

What an exciting prospect--both that, and even more importantly, being able to visit each other again. I had not even thought about that...!

[infreefall]

Well, it's not like I can guarantee it or anything... but a lot of the people here are friends. It's hard to imagine going home and never seeing any of you again, you know? So even if we don't know for sure, I have hope that it won't be the end of anything when we leave here.

[lecarre]

I have not really... thought about what it will be like to go home after all of this until now.

[Ange is quiet for a moment, before she nods firmly.]

I agree. There absolutely must be some way for us to see each other again. Anything else... would simply be unfair!
